WATCH: Betsy DeVos Defends Charter Schools' Legacy In Michigan

President-elect Donald Trump's nominee for Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos had her Senate confirmation hearing on Tuesday night, and was questioned about her past work and involvement with charter schools. DeVos was called to defend Michigan's various charter programs, which Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) characterized as failing and not producing good outcomes.

DeVos had quite the comeback, however, when she pointed out that public schools are never closed due to poor outcomes.
