To have earned the honor of wearing the eagle, globe, and anchor remains one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I feel privileged to be part of a unique breed of men and women who have also worn the Marine Corps insignia. And like other veterans, I am just honored to have served our country.
Last week in Virginia, a mentally ill Marine Corps veteran armed with a hatchet walked in to a high school not long before students arrived. Fortunately, a cafeteria worker spotted him and called the police.
For the past half century, public education has operated like a double-agent enemy mole that hides in plain sight while it sabotages society. When liberals began the pretense of patrolling the wall between church and state in the 1960s, they targeted the free exercise and influence of Christianity and Judaism. Apparently, however, enforcing the First Amendment was merely a ruse.
Today, my appreciation for what America’s warriors voluntarily sacrifice for others makes it hard for me to watch the nation’s commander in chief pursue a delusional fantasy of creating some Utopian society by decimating national security and replacing it with social welfare.
As tens of thousands of unaccompanied children from Central America spill over our southern border, millions of disregarded black kids remain confined to war-like ghettoes across the United States. If the level of violence occurring every day in urban black communities popped up anywhere else, does anyone believe liberals would pretend not to notice?
According to the best selling book of all time, all of us are willful orphans. Each one of us was planned, designed, created, and provided for with a world that could sustain us, but we were all separated from God by our own foolish pride and self-absorbed impulses -- yes, I mean sin. Of course, not everyone believes this, but for those that do not, specifically non-Christian parents, analyzing their own lives might help them to see the truth in God’s message.
By avoiding hard questions in nearly every story connected to America’s most dysfunctional children, the liberal media help to perpetuate the fairytale about Democrats being the champions of society’s victims.
After being forced to subdue an 18-year-old classroom drug dealer with a hostility towards authority and an apathy for education, Santa Monica High School science teacher and wrestling coach, Mark Black, immediately found himself under attack from a second teenager inside his inner-city classroom. As if enduring multiple attacks were not enough for the day, Black then found himself abandoned by his politically correct superintendent.
Last April, 16-year-old Flair Griggs shot and killed 17-year-old Joseph Gomez in a McDonald’s parking lot in York, Pennsylvania. According to the prosecuting attorney, David Maisch, video evidence and eyewitness statements made Griggs’s actions “as perfect a self-defense case as you can get.”
For students confined in public education camps across the country, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland might now make more sense compared to Little Johnny’s confusing reality at Space Mountain Middle School in Never Never Land, California.
With all the nutty tolerance liberals impose these days creating make-believe fairness, actual history now sounds more like a fairytale rather than reality. In fact, a bonafide intolerance for injustice and immorality once actually existed at the heart of America’s freedom.
In the midst of the media glorifying the Obama administration’s quest to release more “non-violent, low-level” crack dealers back in to the streets, Hollywood actor Philip Seymour Hoffman turned up dead last Sunday.
Claiming to protect the civil rights of minority students by condemning good black kids from inner-city schools to classrooms with dysfunctional and violent juvenile delinquents seems like a plan orchestrated by the Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.
The Obama administration has finally pinned down the first attacker in the “knockout game,” and the mainstream media has finally referenced skin color in their headlines.
With recent footage of black teenagers cold-cocking random strangers in a deadly game known as “Knockout,” Americans should recognize how badly our country needs a selfless voice of leadership heard in all of our homes.
This past Monday as math teacher Mike Landsberry lay shot and dying on a playground’s basketball court in Sparks, Nevada, America’s public education system on the East Coast was already at work subjecting more children to the perils of another lethal threat: political correctness. Make no mistake about it -- political correctness is the impetus of gun-free zones. It is also destroying the minds of America’s children while leaving them physically vulnerable.
If domestic violence, rape, or murder were to threaten 40 percent of the nation’s women like irresponsible pregnancies do, perhaps America might finally own up to which political party empowers women and which party merely patronizes them.
When the repugnant and self-absorbed politician Senator Barbara Boxer (D-California) belittled an Army general for respectfully addressing her as Ma’am instead of Senator, I know I was not the only person who wished the General would have responded with a stingingly clever quip.
If Obama and Democrats were truly the party of diversity, why would they want to eliminate Americas distinctive, capitalist society from the world? Arent there already enough mediocre, socialist nations clogging up the globe?
