Congressman Joe Pitts is a Republican Congressman that represents the 16th Congressional District of Pennsylvania, a diverse district stretching from the western Philadelphia suburbs further west into the Pennsylvania “Dutch” Country. He serves as chairman of the Health Subcommittee on the House Energy & Commerce Committee, chairs the House Values Action Team, and co-chairs the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission.
The Values Action Team advocates for pro-family legislation in the House, and the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission provides Congressman Pitts with a forum from which to advocate for human rights internationally.
Congressman Pitts and his wife Ginny have three grown children and four grandchildren. Mr. Pitts will retire at the end of the 114th Congress.
