Poll
Will Sarah Palin make a run at the GOP Nomination in 2012?

There is something especially inspiring in watching democracy in action. Today, as has been the case all week, Republican Members of Congress took to the House floor to stand up for Americans who need relief from rising energy costs.

Sadly, what we’ve also seen this week is democratic inaction. When Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat Congress skipped town last week, adjourning before Republican Members had a chance to speak about their energy plan on the House floor, they walked out on Congress and essentially walked out on the needs of the American people.

I cannot commend the Republican House Members enough for staying in town this week, while they, too, could be enjoying their August recess and spending time in their districts with their families. This is a prime example of the Republican Party taking the initiative for real change.

American energy exploration, and especially offshore drilling, is a major component of energy independence and lower energy costs. From coast to coast, citizens are turning in favor of this in record numbers; even Speaker Pelosi’s constituents. Why, then, is the majority of our nation’s legislative body turning their backs to the needs of Americans? Isn’t the “People’s House” tasked with passing legislation for the betterment of the country?

John McCain also has asked his opponent to rally Congressional Democrats to return to the chamber for a vote on the comprehensive energy bill, but Barack Obama and Speaker Pelosi would rather take vacations. I hope Obama notices the gas prices in Hawaii, where he is vacationing this week. They’re among the highest in the country, and if America follows his energy plan, they’re certain to continue to rise while our dependence on foreign oil increases as well.

With so much overwhelming support for the American Energy Act across the country, it’s unfathomable why it falls on deaf ears in the Democrat Congress.

House Republican Leader John Boehner said it best today when speaking with a reporter: “You cannot thwart the will of the American people. Our system of government doesn’t allow it.”

“When people speak up, this place responds,” he said.

Millions of Americans are struggling to afford skyrocketing gas prices. The Republican Members of Congress are trying to help; the Democrats are not.

I am confident this issue will remain on voters’ minds in November, when the decision between voting for government action or government inaction couldn’t be more important.

Ditto to Take Our Country Back in Ga.
It is going to take a massive show of support of common people out here to take this country back. We have so many foreing entanglements and treaties now that it will take some true American Patriots to take over the country, and dismantle this bureaucracy and get rid of about 99 percent of the nonsensical laws that Congress has passed which are unconstitutional to begin with. The Lobbyists and other special interests Buy Our Congress to do their Bidding, and we, the People are totally left out of the Loop. Enough is Enough. Everybody has forgotten the State's Rights Amendment to the Constitution. All states have stepped aside and let the Feds run rough shod over state and community controls. George C. Wallace of Alabama is the last True American Patriot Governor who had The Decency and Guts to stand up to the Feds, and instead of people realizing what he was saying, the MSM and the Federal Government Misrepresented Him, and Called him and Alabamans generally, a bunch of Racists. This was not true then, and it is not true now, but The Big Lie was told and retold, and nobody ever tried to find out the truth, but Us Alabamans knew what he was saying. And there are still enough of us alive to remember the truth, no matter how the MSM and the Government Rewrite History as they go along.

Wallace made the point in 1968 when he became an Independent, when he said, "the repubs and dems are like tweedle dee and tweedle dumb, there is not a dime's worth of difference between them." That was true in 1968 and it has only gotten worse since then at an alarmingly swift pace. We are heading head long into being a third rate third world country in a one world communist government. Obama is spearheading this move. He has to be defeated at the polls in November if this country is to survive to fight another day. This time, we have to hold our nose and vote McCain. The alternative is totally unacceptable.

Vote To Drill W/O Pelosi and Gang
Since Pelosi and the other Stooges Who Mis-Represent America, decided to go on Vacation while the Rest of Us struggle to buy gas to get to work, the Republicans who remained behind should just Start without The Rest of them.

Pelosi and that gang of Socialists who call themselves Democrats basically walked off their jobs, thus shirking responsibility, so the ones who decided to stay on the job and do their jobs of Representing U.S. citizens, should be able to move ahead and vote to Drill Here Now.

Then, drilling should start, even before Pelosi and the rest of these obstructionists get off their vacations. Pelosi and the rest of those scoundrels in the Congress do not represent the interests of the United States. They represent their own special interests and their Marxist DNC party and everything they are now doing is aimed at discrediting the Preseident and Republicans generally, in order to enhance chances of their Hand Picked Hand Puppet getting elected.

Well, their little plan has backfired. They people have been living in LA LA land so long, they are totally out of touch with the Rest Of Us Americans out here who make this country work. We would be better off if Congress Took a Permanent Hike. When they are on the job, all they do is pass laws that further impede our rights and freedoms as citizens and tax us to pay for their Pork Projects and to Fund Huge Worthless Federal Agencies and Departments.

Dismantle the entire Bureaucracy and then Congress can get back to representing the citizens of this country and not special interests and International Interests that Cost Us Much and Return Zilch. The U.N. comes to mind right off the bat.
