What was the biggest suprise of Election Day?

Members of the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now downplayed their group’s participation in voter registration fraud and argued fraudulent voter applications rarely corrupt the electoral process Tuesday.

One African-American ACORN official even suggested fraudulent registrations were a small price to pay for voting privileges that were paid for “in blood.”

“Thorough studies of voter fraud in the United States have been done and the universal conclusion of the studies that have been done by us and other people is that the actual incidence of the voters voting under a false name and attempting to register multiple times and to defraud the system is minimal purging on nonexistent,” said former Connecticut Secretary of State Miles Rapaport on ACORN’s behalf at a press conference in Washington.

Standing alongside ACORN officials Rapaport said the “actual instances of them [voter fraud] is so small" and it would be wrong "to use it as an excuse to try to discourage people from registering, to set up barriers with a draconian a voter identification provisions.”

The GOP has aggressively criticized ACORN for their fraudulent activities. Both Republican presidential candidate John McCain and vice president Sarah Palin have called on Congress to investigate ACORN’s voter registration activities.

“We’ve been incarcerated by a very unfortunate season of mudslinging,” said Maryland ACORN president Rev. Gloria Swierenga. “There can be errors in the process, we readily admit that, but we are fiercely patriotic and it’s in no one’s best interest.” She said others have “died so I can vote, so this is no small matter and when we explain to people how you can help build an America that is truly one nation, indivisible with liberty and justice for all, I think most people take that seriously. I think that the Palin campaign speaks for itself.”

Down the hall from ACORN’s press conference at the National Press Club former Senators John Danforth and Warren Rudman who chair McCain’s Honest and Open Elections Committee invited Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama to help them prevent voter fraud at the behest of ACORN.

ACORN endorsed Obama for president earlier this year and Obama was the first ever national candidate to contract ACORN workers for get-out-the-vote activities.

Obama has not responded to McCain’s calls to work together against voter fraud.

Preposterous Carpenter!
Where does TownHall find these preposterous so-called writers/columnist!? The majority of the opinions posted on this site by these columnist are poorly written and often not fact based. It is well known that ACORN has employed individuals who get paid for the number of voter registrations they collect. The fraud is that some of these ACORN employees turned in fraudulent registrations and it is the duty of the "state registrant" to insure whether they are valid or invalid. If an ACORN employee can be proven to have submitted fraudulent registrations then the law should deal with that person. There is NO fraud at ACORN. The fraud is what John McCain is trying to turn the matter into. Obama for President.

Ohio Fraud Promotion
I read from another blog thread that only 5% of ACORN's 73,000 Ohio registrations are suspect (3,650). Now I find that this is all phony Liberal data by a huge margin. ACORN has proven ties to
supporting Obama, and likewise Obama supports ACORN.

Today, I learned that OHIO Democrat Gov. Brunner is sitting on over
200,000 acknowledged SUSPECT voter registrations that she DOES NOT, repeat- DOES NOT want to turn over for a validation process. She is refusing to take the time and energy to have the state check the legitimacy of these known ACORN suspect registrations. She has declared that she will fight for her right (for corruption?) to the Supreme Court.

Is there something I am not understanding here? Hello? EVERY TRUE
AMERICAN SHOULD BE ANGRY AT THE CORRUPTION OF OUR POLITICAL PROCESS.
