Vice Presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) obliterated a CNN reporter who tried to race-bait Vice President Kamala Harris as critics point out she isn’t entirely black despite campaigning hard on the claim.
During a visit to the southern border to demonstrate Harris’ border czar failures, CNN correspondent Steve Contorno grilled Vance on whether former President Donald Trump’s remarks questioning Harris’ race make him hesitate to run as the Republican’s VP pick.
“He [Trump] said that Vice President Harris is ‘all the sudden Black.' As a father of three biracial children, do those comments give you pause at all?” Contorno asked.
Vance shot back, calling Harris a “chameleon” with a “fake southern accent.”
“They don't give me pause at all," Vance pushed back. "Look, all he said is that Kamala Harris is a chameleon. She goes to Georgia two days ago, she was raised in Canada, she puts on a fake southern accent. She is everything to everybody and she pretends to be somebody different depending on which audience she is in front of.”

Earlier this week, Trump was hit with criticism after he said that Harris had become a black person despite identifying as an Indian for the past years at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).
Vance took the opportunity to point out several instances where Harris has flip-flopped on hard-hitting issues.
“I think it's totally reasonable for the [former] president to call that out," Vance said. "And that's all he did. Look, she's running as a tough-on-crime prosecutor even though she has implemented open border policies. She's saying that she wants to support the police, yet she wanted to defund the police just three years ago. It's totally reasonable to call out the fact that she pretends to be somebody different depending on the audience she's talking to.”

Vance shares three biracial children with his wife, Usha Vance, who is the daughter of Indian immigrants.
The Ohio senator was in Arizona to assess the southern border that has been overrun by illegal immigrants thanks to President Joe Biden and Harris’ reckless policies.
Vance stood in front of an uncompleted border wall, which was halted on day one of Biden’s Administration through an executive border.
“We see the border wall sitting here, waiting to be completed behind us,” he said, calling for the reinstatement of the Trump-era Remain in Mexico policy and an end to the “catch and release” of illegal aliens.
