David Yepsen on IA Mormon's for Mitt

I just returned from the Politico's Early State Countdown Panel at George Washington University.

Because of this morning's speech, the most timely comment regarded

Mitt Romney, and came from the Des Moines Register's David Yepsen.  Yepsen recounted a conversation he had with a Romney Iowa leader about the large number of Mormon's attending a Romney rally in Iowa.

It went like this:

Yepsen:  "... when did you start working the Mormon network?"

Romney Iowa leader:  "It works itself."
Yepsen's point, of course, is that Romney still has the benefit of a loyal and devoted group of Iowa supporters who, by the way, are sure to actually caucus for him.
