Because of this morning's speech, the most timely comment regarded Mitt Romney, and came from the Des Moines Register's David Yepsen. Yepsen recounted a conversation he had with a Romney Iowa leader about the large number of Mormon's attending a Romney rally in Iowa.
It went like this:
Yepsen: "... when did you start working the Mormon network?"Yepsen's point, of course, is that Romney still has the benefit of a loyal and devoted group of Iowa supporters who, by the way, are sure to actually caucus for him.
Romney Iowa leader: "It works itself."
