"But, would you vote for it?"
McCain: "No...We know now that people want the border secured first, so that won't be coming to the floor."

He also hits enforcement by attrition.
"That (border security) was in the proposal. The American people did not trust that we would do that."Would have been much better if he'd just said he'd vote against it, but he's too proud for that business.
