Homan Demolishes AOC After She Accuses Trump Administration Officials of Breaking the Law

The war of words between Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) and Tom Homan over immigration enforcement continued this week after CNN showed the border czar a clip of the New York Democrat accusing Trump administration officials of breaking the law.

“If anyone’s breaking the law in this situation, it’s not the members of Congress,” she said in an Instagram video. “It’s the Department of Homeland Security. It’s people like Tom Homan and Secretary Kristi Noem.”

“You lay a finger on…any of the representatives that were there – you lay a finger on them – we are going to have a problem,” she added.

Her comments come after DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said the three New Jersey lawmakers who showed up to Delaney Hall, an ICE detention center, last week, could be arrested.

Homan was completely unfazed by AOC’s threat, however.

"First of all, you can’t intimidate me. Come on, give me a break,” Homan said Wednesday. “I was wearing a green uniform, Border Patrol agent, for five years before she was even born. I had more than three decades enforcing immigration law before she became a member of Congress.”

“I’ve worked for six presidents,” he continued. “But you can’t deny the success of the Trump administration when it comes to border security.”

Homan argued it’s within her right to not support ICE, “but you can’t cross the line. You can’t knowingly impede ICE law enforcement officers, that is a felony.”

Concerning New York, Homan said the Trump administration has done far more to protect Ocasio-Cortez’s district than she has as a member of Congress.

“She ought to be thanking the members of this administration, the men and women of ICE, who protect this country and make her community safer,” he said. “She ought to love her community more than she hates Trump.”
