Trump Slams Germany, Says Russia Must Be Laughing at US in Early Morning Tweets

President Trump took to Twitter early Tuesday morning to knock Germany for failing to meet its NATO obligations and said the U.S.’s “massive” trade deficit with the country will change.

“We have a MASSIVE trade deficit with Germany, plus they pay FAR LESS than they should on NATO & military. Very bad for U.S. This will change,” he wrote.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Sunday that Germany can no longer “completely depend” on the United States and that Europeans "must really take our destiny into our own hands.”

Trump also commented on the ongoing reports that Russia meddled in the 2016 election, saying they must find it amusing.

“Russian officials must be laughing at the U.S. & how a lame excuse for why the Dems lost the election has taken over the Fake News.”
