Campaigns and Elections: Jeb Bush has become the clear Republican presidential frontrunner. Meanwhile, things aren’t looking so good for Hillary Clinton—nearly half of Americans say they would not vote for the former secretary of state if she ran in 2016. And despite whining from the Left about money influencing politics, it turns out liberal billionaires spent the most money in the 2014 midterms.
Gun News: The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms came out with their year-end list of top 10 ‘anti-gunners,’ with Michael Bloomberg coming in at No. 1. Gun control advocates may have gotten Initiative 594 passed in Washington state, but the Second Amendment Foundation is pushing back. Meanwhile, in Virginia, Gov. Terry McAuliffe is going to give a package of gun control measures another try in the new year. Katie Pavlich gave us a rundown of her year participating in shooting competitions across the country, complete with photos and videos.
Scalisegate: News broke this week that House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) spoke at a white nationalist gathering in 2002. When more details came to light, however, it turns out Scalise didn’t actually address the group, but rather a crowd in a room at the same hotel the conference was being held. Politicos on both sides of the aisle have rallied behind Scalise, with former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards, a Democrat, calling it a “non-story” and top GOP leadership rallying behind him. Charles Krauthammer thinks he ought to resign his leadership position as a gesture of good will.

Pro-life News: Planned Parenthood released its annual report this week and the results proved that the organization is still very much a Big Abortion business. While services such as prenatal care and adoption referrals were decreased, its abortion rates actually increased. Also disheartening, was the fact that an ultrasound law which asks women to view an ultrasound before having an abortion, was blocked in North Carolina. Rapper Nicki Minaj revealed that she once had an abortion, and that the procedure still 'haunts' her to this day. There was some good news for the pro-life movement this week though. On the World Day of the Sick, Pope Francis offered a moving pro-life message in which he insisted that all lives are worth living, regardless of illness or disease. Finally, we reported on how abortion clinics are disappearing at a rapid rate.
Media and Culture: Feminists came out swinging at Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting after she rejected the term, 'feminist' in an interview with Redbook magazine. For daring to admit she likes 'serving' her husband, Ryan Sweeting, angry social media users called her 'stupid' and ignorant as to what feminism really means. In another shake my head moment, GQ magazine released its list of the year's '20 Craziest Politicians,' and only managed to include three Democrats in its roundup. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz? Nowhere to be found. In response, we came up with our own 'Craziest Media' list.
In Other News: Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) lost his father, Mario Cuomo, just hours after being sworn into his second term in office. Mario Cuomo, who has been deemed a 'liberal beacon,' had served three terms as New York's governor. He was 82 years old.
