The Left Needs to Find a New Gimmick

The latest leftist case of “Trump is literally Hitler” is upon us, this time because the White House is displaying a golden bald eagle in celebration of America250.

Even though the first Trump administration feels as if it was centuries ago, I can remember when this was a near daily topic of discussion on Twitter. You could see the most innocuous Trump picture or video and countless blue checks (back when that term had a little more meaning) would froth over the “dog whistles” toward neo-Nazis.

Hordes of Trumpian anonymous accounts would be in the replies calling out said blue checks for their idiotic comparisons. Then they would promptly get suspended (or even banned) because the moderation was handled by leftist ideologues.

While I guess that it’s nice to reminisce about what the world used to be, haven’t these people gotten tired of this schtick at this point? We’re nearly a decade removed from when Trump first got elected and we’re forced to see the same re-hashed arguments ad nauseum. It’s worse than Hollywood rebooting every semi-successful brand in existence.

For the sake of everyone’s sanity, I’m begging for the Left to find a new argument as the U.S. turns 250-years-old.
