We Don't Have to Live This Way

In a short two week span, we have seen four horrifying Islamic terror attacks leveled against innocent Americans. They have occurred across the country, and have spanned numerous venues. The media has obfuscated the facts about these attacks, like CNN twice having to issue retractions regarding the failed bombing of an anti-Islam protest by ISIS-inspired thugs.

In one of the most attacks, the perpetrator had been convicted of attempting to provide material support to ISIS. He was released from prison two years ago. He then went on to murder Lt. Col. Brandon A. Shah, a combat veteran in the Global War on Terror, in the name of jihad. He was only stopped because a group of students risked their lives to stop him.

Earlier today, an armed individual opened fire at Old Dominion University, leaving one person dead and two others wounded. The shooter is now deceased thanks to a group of brave students who stepped in and subdued him – actions that undoubtedly saved lives along with the quick…

In the other, a man rammed his vehicle into the side of a synagogue and an adjoining early childhood school. Thankfully, the threat was eliminated by the swift and heroic actions of the security staff.

Of course, if you point out that there has been a correlation in this string of attacks, you are labeled a bigot, an Islamophobe, and anti-American.

Calling Radical Islam out for being a CULT doesn’t make you an “Islamophobe.” Radical Islamists chant “death to America” and would love to see every Christian and Jew murdered.

When will the lesson be learned? How many more people need to be killed, maimed, or threatened before we begin to take the jihadist threat against our communities seriously? Why must we continue to allow those who espouse ideas antithetical to our way of life to be welcomed into our country with open arms? An important through-line with all of these recent cases is that the Islamic perpetrators had entered the country legally. The same is true of the individual who killed National Guardsmen Sarah Beckstrom and seriously wounded Andrew Wolfe. Still, some politicians (even in the GOP) will tell you that the only immigration problem in the U.S. is that some people do it illegally.

For those who threaten American sovereignty from within: denaturalize and deport. Some politicians have braved criticism from the most virulent of leftists to encourage these policies. The Sharia-Free America Caucus has expanded to include 50 members as of Mar. 12. They have come to understand the moment that we are living through.
