While the Canadians have reportedly been weighing whether or not to send additional troops to aid in the “defense” of Greenland, they just got wrecked by the U.S. in their national pass time.

The U.S. defeated Canada to take home the gold at the World Women’s Juniors after a two to nothing shutout. It’s a timely callback to when the men’s junior team crushed the Canadians last year after booing the U.S. national anthem. Team USA went on to start three fights in the first nine seconds of the game, and then thrashed our little brother to the north in a four to one win.

It may only be a women’s hockey tournament, but this victory should serve as a good reminder that the Canadian “defiance” to America is all manufactured posturing. They want to pretend like they’re tough, but they can’t even beat the U.S. in their own game.
Whether it be in sports or geopolitics, it's time for Canada to get back into line and understand that their relevancy only extends as far as America’s good graces.
