President Trump blasted former President Barack Obama for his disastrous deal with Iran, which gave the Iranian regime $1.7 billion in cash in an effort to appease the blood thirsty regime and disuade them from pursuing their nuclear ambitions. The president argued that if he had not terminated the deal, Iran would have already developed a "colossal arsenal of massive nuclear weapons," and we would have been living in "a different world."

“And then very importantly, I terminated Barack Hussein Obama's Iran nuclear deal, a disaster,” President Trump said in a Wednesday address to the nation, where he provided an update on the progress of Operation Epic Fury. “Obama gave them 1.7 billion dollars in cash, green, green cash, took it out of banks from Virginia, D.C., and Maryland, all the cash they had, flew it by airplanes in an attempt to buy their respect and loyalty, but it didn't work.”

"They laughed at our president and went on with their mission to have a nuclear bomb," he continued. "His Iran deal would have led to a colossal arsenal of massive nuclear weapons for Iran. They would have had them years ago and they would have used them, would have been a different world."

This came as the president chose to confront the Middle East in a language the Iranian regime would understand: force. While he initially pursued negotiations, it became clear that Iran was not only unwilling to engage in good faith but was openly flaunting its nuclear capabilities in front of the U.S. negotiating team.

President Trump then followed through on his promise to ensure that the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism could not develop a nuclear weapon, launching Operation Epic Fury, an operation that, if successful, could reshape the West’s relationship with the Middle East as we know it.

In his Wednesday address, the president said the conflict in Iran is nearing completion, as U.S. and Israeli forces have almost entirely destroyed the Iranian Navy and Air Force. He also emphasized that negotiations with the regime are ongoing.

Editor's Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
