Socialist mayoral elect, Zohran Mamdani, held a secretive meeting with progressive Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, which was captured by a New Yorker whose office is right across the street from Mamdani's headquarters. It is unclear what was discussed.

Senator Warren is a longtime critic of capitalism and Wall Street, who praised Mamdani for his focus on affordability and proclaimed that his policies of free child care, free transit, and rent freezing are part of the true “Democratic message.”
She posted an image of herself, Mamdani, and former Commissioner of the United States Federal Trade Commission and rabid progressive, Lina Khan, on Instagram, with the caption: "Tax the rich. Billionaire tears not pictured."
Maria Danzilo, a former candidate for the New York state Senate, posted on X:
I mean this with all seriousness. Her obsession is like some form of mental illness. This woman will not rest until she brings down America, starting with NYC. It’s bad enough we have @AOC here. Warren has been on the warpath against “Wall Street” and the business community for decades and what did it do? Forced them to move to Texas and Florida and offshore just to survive. Bidenomics and whatever it was called failed miserably and caused massive inflation; the Dems lost control of the WH and Congress. NYC is bleeding jobs and it’s headed for anti-growth and a death spiral thanks to years of De Blasio, no course correction with Adams, and now four years of This! She should go back to Massachusetts and leave NYC the heck alone.
