The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, wrote on X, Monday, that any New Yorkers moving to Texas after Election Day would be subject to a 100 percent tariff.

The power to impose tariffs rests with the federal government, not the states. Yet, the move highlighted that some Republicans are unwilling to risk harming their own states if New Yorkers grow frustrated with the kind of politicians they elect, like Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic socialist poised to win City Hall on Tuesday. In other words, it shouldn't be a Republican state's problem if Democrats choose to destroy their cities.
On Monday, President Trump endorsed former Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo, who failed to win the Democratic primary and is now running as an independent, over the Republican candidate, Curtis Sliwa. He argued that a vote for Sliwa was a vote for Mamdani.

You must vote for him, and hope he does a fantastic job. He is capable of it, Mamdani is not!
