GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy already went over all the wild items included in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's HEROES Act, including funding for Planned Parenthood and illegal immigrants. But apparently there was more where that came from. In her Friday press briefing, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany shared proof that Pelosi has no idea what's been going on in Washington while she's been enjoying ice cream in California and delaying the work of the House.
"One of the things I found really funny in her bill is she requires that the president appoint a medical supply response coordinator who would serve as the point of contact for the health care system, supply chain officials and states on medical supplies," McEnany observed. "I don't know if Speaker Pelosi has just not been paying attention while she's been out in California and we've been here working, but I happened to be sitting by this so called medical supply response coordinator on Air Force One yesterday."
His name is Navy Rear Adm. John Polowczyk, and he's been working for quite some time, McEnany noted.
And he seems to be the right person for the job.
“The president gave me one task: Get more to our health care workers now, and I took that to heart because … I have family in New York,” Polowczyk said of his role. “My sister is a nurse practitioner in a Westchester hospital, and my niece is a nurse in a Long Island hospital, and I have other health care professionals in the family. So I have skin in this game.”

McEnany added that Pelosi is "exploiting the crisis" to also push for mass mail-in voting. The press secretary said that Pelosi's "quite odd" bill is a "non-starter."
