Famed bestselling author and documentary filmmaker Dinseh D’Souza sits down exclusively with the Conservative Book Club to discuss his explosive new book and movie, Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party (published by Regnery).
In the book and movie, he takes down Hillary Clinton once and for all and exposes the real history of the Democratic Party that you don’t ever learn about in American classrooms anymore, including how the Democratic Party was the political party in favor of slavery, segregation, and fought against women’s suffrage and the civil rights bills of the 1960s. While this information about the Democratic Party has been reported on before, it rarely gets to see the light of day on the massive platform of both book and movie form, with a noteworthy, intelligent, successful, and controversial filmmaker.

D’Souza was born in Mumbai, India in 1961, and came to America on a Rotary International scholarship and studied at Dartmouth College. He was one of the first pioneering writers for The Dartmouth Review– one of the first and most influential college conservative newspapers in the country, and went on to work at the Hoover Institute, American Enterprise Institute, and served in the Reagan Administration as a senior policy analyst.
Later, he would become one of the country’s bestselling conservative authors, authoring over a dozen and a half books, including Illiberal Education, Ronald Reagan, Letters to a Young Conservative, and What’s So Great About Christianity. He would later write The Roots of Obama’s Rage, and America: Imagine a World Without Her, which would be the basis for two of the top grossing documentaries in history, even beating out Michael Moore’s Sicko and Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth.

D’Souza has had an incredible influence on millions of Americans and helped them better understand Barack Obama and the progressive Left. Last year, he paid a dear price for speaking out against the Democratic machine and was put in a confinement center for eight months due to an overblown campaign finance charge – a charge that has never been punished by jail time before.
But we’re glad D’Souza is back and has not lost his combination of great filmmaking and storytelling – as Hillary’s America is based on a true story. Even William Peter Blatty, the author of the horror film The Exorcist, calls his book “utterly terrifying”!
