Joy Behar: 'It's Stupid And Outrageous To Call A Black Person Racist'

It is difficult to imagine that some people actually have their political outlook shaped by the women of ABC's The View, but apparently, enough people tune in to the show that it is somehow still on the air. For those who do not watch, here is what host Joy Behar had to say about the topic of racism. Basically, she believes that it is impossible for a black person to be racist.

The Washington Times reports that on Monday, Behar slammed the president's tweets against Rep. Elijah Cummings. Behar's primary complaint was not that the district which Cummings represents is actually a nice place to live, contrary to the president's opinions, but that President Trump had the audacity to call a black man a racist:

“Elijah is the black man,” Ms. Behar said on the show, according to a clip published by the Washington Examiner. “He’s calling the black man the racist. I mean, I don’t think people understand that particularly. It’s outrageous and stupid to call a black person a racist.”

In a litany of tweets against Rep. Cummings this weekend, President Trump tweeted, "If racist Elijah Cummings would focus more of his energy on helping the good people of his district, and Baltimore itself, perhaps progress could be made in fixing the mess that he has helped to create over many years of incompetent leadership. His radical 'oversight' is a joke!"

Behar's comments can be seen below:

As Townhall has previously discussed, Behar's opinion of racism is most likely, and wrongfully, predicated on the leftist belief that "racism depends upon societal power structure, therefore only whites can be racist."
