Trump to Address Nation on Florida Shooting

President Trump has ordered American flags to be flown at half staff to recognize the 17 victims of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida. He will address the nation on the tragedy at 11 a.m.

House Speaker Paul Ryan has ordered U.S. Capitol flags to be lowered as well.

The president has also shared his prayers and condolences with the shattered community.

Seventeen people died Wednesday after a former student went on a shooting spree at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School with an AR-15. The suspect, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, was taken into custody.

Reports suggest that the shooter had a pattern of disturbing behavior that was known to those around him. Trump urged citizens to take the necessary steps to report any suspicious activity in the future.
