Romney Shows No Hard Feelings After Losing Secretary of State Bid

You may have wondered how Mitt Romney was feeling this morning when President-elect Donald Trump chose Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson for secretary of state. Many, perhaps including the Massachusetts governor himself, thought Romney had it in the bag. Trump had been courting him for weeks for the position. Yet, on Tuesday following the announcement, Romney showed no hard feelings.

When former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani bowed out of the secretary of state contest, Romney was considered a top frontrunner - particularly after Trump's very public dinner with him and his newly tapped chief of staff Reince Priebus a couple weeks ago.

As for Tillerson, he is expected to face a very tough confirmation hearing. Several lawmakers - Republicans and Democrats - are expressing serious concerns about his close business relationship with Russia's Vladimir Putin.
