Louie Gohmert Is Angry He Can't Cook Ribs On The Capitol Balcony

In one of the more amusing floor speeches of all time, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) told a story about how he is prohibited from cooking ribs on the balcony of his office due to an order from the Architect of the Capitol. Gohmert brought up the story in a speech about how federal bureaucracy has "misplaced priorities" and banned him from cooking on his balcony about seven years ago. Gohmert, who has represented Texas in the House of Representatives since 2005, cooked ribs about once a quarter for other members of Congress.

Apparently, both Democrats and Republicans agreed that Gohmert's ribs were top-notch.

Watch the speech here:

Gohmert has instead grilled on Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI)'s balcony, which evidently is more suitable for grilling.
