Khanna has already told the liberal outlet MS NOW that he is contemplating a bid for the White House in 2028, further explaining that the election will be a race to see who “has the best vision for the future of this nation.”

Rep. Jamaal Bowman is leading the charge amongst Democrats to convince Khanna to throw his hat into the ring officially. The group that Bowman founded, “Run Ro,” is aiming to raise funds and gather the support for the California congressman as the primary season is set to begin.
“With the wind at our backs after the midterms, we need a leader who puts everything on the line to fight for a better vision of America,” Bowman said in a press release. “That’s Ro Khanna.”
Khanna has made a name for himself as one of the most progressive members of Congress. He was a notable proponent of the now-failed California effort to institute a wealth tax on the state’s billionaire population.
