It's 11:05 am and I'm currently on hour 30 without sleep. It comes with the business, especially on election season, and coupled with the worst-timed Internet crash out ever it's been a long day and a half. Yesterday was rough. There's no real way to sugarcoat that.

What I will say is this: hope is not lost. I plan on fighting, once I get a decent night's sleep. Democrats will learn that we, too, can resist. But that being said, I'm telling you right now that Democrats are going to completely misread the room on this and set themselves up for electoral defeat down the road.

I've heard the same things people are saying β€” the nation has changed, the demographics have changed, we can't come back from this β€” but those are the same things I heard when Obama won in 2008 (I had a friend who believed Obama was going to put us all in camps). Heck, I heard them in 2000 from my liberal friends who told me George W. Bush was going to make it illegal for me to go to college. It's not the first time a sitting president has gotten creamed in the midterms.

But stick with me here, because this isn't cope. Because while voters sent Democrats to Congress, they also voted in favor of things like voter ID, capping property taxes, and lowering income tax rates, and protecting girls' sports.

In Colorado, voters said yes to Prop 133 to put child sex traffickers in prison for life without parole.

Those are issues toward which the Democrats are opposed. They will ignore the will of the voters on this, and some may even try to undermine these amendments.

As for affordability? Don't plan on low gas prices any time soon. Democrats will spend the next two years burning through subpoenas and show trials and kangaroo courts. There will also be major fights within the party, because guys like Abdul El-Sayed and the DSA goons aren't going to let Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer remain in charge.

It will be hilarious to watch the old guard Democrats get kicked to the curb by the socialist upstarts they aligned themselves with to resist Trump.

Even their supporters know Democrats are going to mess this up.

Ro Khanna already came out and said DEI is back, baby! Expect Woke 2.0 to be worse than we could ever imagine.

Voters saw the chaos of the Biden years β€” where he imported millions of illegal aliens, mind you β€” and rejected Kamala Harris for Donald Trump. When the Democrats spend 2027 and 2028 trying to throw every Republican from Albany to Almeda in prison, voters will respond again in the same way.

Maybe we won't regain the Senate. Yet.

But we can flip governors and state houses and maybe even the House.

When we're paying $6 a gallon for gas nationally, when crime creeps up and the price of beef is more than $6.30 a "gallon," voters are not going to give Democrats more power in 2028. Depending on how far the Democrats push the envelope, it could do severe damage to the party because their insanity can only go so far before it collapses under its own weight.

And collapse it will.
