Indiana Jones and Han Solo are icons who have provided some of the most memorable moments in the movie archives. "The Last Crusade" is a sentimental favorite of mine, largely in part because of that epic concluding scene where Jones comes face-to-face with King Arthur. And Solo? I dare you to find someone who can match his sarcastic wit and perfectly timed one-liners.
Harrison Ford is a great actor. He should spend more time doing that and less time piloting airplanes.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating an incident involving the 77-year-old Ford when he was piloting a small aircraft on April 24 in the Los Angeles area. According to FAA, Ford was behind the wheel of a plane at LA's Hawthorne Airport that crossed the runway when another plane was trying to land. He reportedly misheard an instruction from air traffic control.
“He immediately acknowledged the mistake and apologized to ATC for the error,” his publicist Ina Treciokas said in a statement. “No one was injured and there was never any danger of a collision.”
The incident may have been minor, but it is magnified by the fact that aircraft mishaps appear to be a recurring theme with the actor. A few years back, Ford was chastised by the FAA for flying too low to an airliner. He also crashed on a Los Angeles golf course in 2015, but investigators concluded it was engine failure, not the fault of the pilot.
I'm sure Ford was a fine pilot for many years, but I'm not the only one who worries that his cognitive abilities are not quite where they should be for this particular hobby.

I knew it. I knew he wasn't dead. I knew because every single time Harrison Ford has trended since I've been on Twitter, it's been because he's been involved in an airplane accident.

STOP FLYING PLANES. You're 80. I stopped getting in cars with my grandma when she turned 80. https://t.co/NpatRtx5YY
Can we all just agree that Harrison Ford needs to stop doing the whole airplane thing? For the love of God. Just chill with the airplanes, bro.

Mr. Ford, please don't step behind the wheel of anymore aircrafts. Unless it's the Millennium Falcon. And there is plenty of supervision.
