They Did it Again: Another Massive Anachronistic Mistake in 'Game of Thrones' Finale

"Game of Thrones" fans want a do over. Sunday night marked the end of the epic series that has dominated pop culture for the past decade, and from what it seemed like (at least on Twitter) no one was satisfied with how the producers wrapped things up. Did they really pick him to sit on the Iron Throne?

Viewers' frustration, however, is not just with the writing or the botched character development. The production value of season eight was not quite what it used to be. For instance, not one of the cast or crew spotted the Starbucks-like coffee cup sitting on the table during a scene with Jon Snow and Daenyrs Targaryen in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.

Welp.

Just when fans may had forgiven the producers, or perhaps even forgotten about it, it happened again. Another modern amenity was spotted in the show. During the series finale.

Fans have noted several other obvious blunders throughout this season. Jamie Lannister's right hand miraculously returned a couple of weeks ago after it got chopped off by his captors in season three.

There were apparently more mistakes, if you're so inclined to investigate.

Millions of people have signed a petition to rewrite the entire last season.

“David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on,” the petition reads. “This series deserves a final season that makes sense.”
