Where are the Untouchables of today? In a few short months, our protectors, defenders of freedoms have nearly vanished with the onset of control of our new puppet presidency. Infiltrated during the Obama administration, federal agencies tasked with protecting our constitutional rights and rule of law became seeded with leftist and their Anti-Americanism. There was little President Trump could do to prevent this form of institutionalized anarchy.
In 2021, the Squad Alliance of Greenies (of environmentalism fame), BLM, Antifa (often confused for The Mob but definitely not predominantly Italian), dominate the politics, economies and social conscience of nearly every major city, college campus and social media platform in the United States. They roll over Constitutional freedoms in unassailable mega woke social media tanks that crush any narrative not aligned with their radical leftist views. They systematically follow the orders of their “bosses” (Schumer, Pelosi, Soros-backed District Attorneys, AOC--plus the other usual suspects) running over our guaranteed rights with actions the government is constitutionally prohibited from doing. They rhetorically mow us down with threats, crush our cities with “peaceful” yet deadly riots and accusations of white privilege while indoctrinating our progeny in order to establish their New Woke Order. It harkens back to the efforts of the Nazi’s, Bolsheviks, and Chinese Cultural Revolutionists. The central difference being that this revolution is in its infancy with its full potential for destruction of our Republic only gestating.
The Untouchables was a television series that ran from 1959-1963 that depicted how squeaky-clean federal agents of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Prohibition Bureau, led by Eliot Ness, broke the backs of the crime syndicates that ran Liquor, also known as bootlegging, from Canada and other illegal sources into Chicago and other cities. It was correctly depicted as a violent era with normally law-abiding citizens willing to do just about anything to get their alcohol fix. Bootlegging worked well for a time empowering other crime syndicates, including the bootlegging syndicate run by Kennedy family patriarch Joseph Patrick Kennedy Sr. Seeing and seizing the opportunity, Kennedy created a new firm called Somerset Importers with an initial $118,000 investment. Somerset became Kennedy’s piggy bank for cashing in on Prohibition’s last throes and on his cross-Atlantic traverse, he carried a letter from Seton Porter, of National Distillers Products Corp., appointing Somerset exclusive sales agent in New England for its entire liquor product line. The prize would be to gain the British rights to send Scotch whiskey, gin, and other imported liquors to a thirsty United States post prohibition. After Repel, this operation expanded becoming the financial power secured the family’s political power and influence.

Joe Kennedy and mob boss Al Capone profited wildly by paying Chicago and other big city police and politicians to look the other way. The Untouchables TV series was a dramatization of real events that many in the audience had actually followed years before in newspapers and on radio. The name Untouchables referred to the incorruptibility of Eliot Ness and his agents who were rumored to have tossed bribes back into the face of the Mob bosses. Now when bribes of influence, power and financial gain are tossed at the politicians, there are very few individuals who we could rightfully call an Untouchable. If power corrupts then we are likely standing knee deep in our political class’s excrement who have drank the Kool-Aid and urinate progressive platitudes.
Groucho Marx was famously quoted saying: “These are my principles, and if you don’t like them...well I have others.” It turned out, he was channeling a future political class and its modus operandi that we tacitly understand is a “our way or the highway” demand.
Are these the principles we really want to live under? Now that we are being choked on the Left’s trillions in physical infrastructure as well as so called societal infrastructure spending, that my way has become a one way trip on the road to hyperinflation, hyper taxation and economic collapse. The unnecessary repeated stimulus checks and expanded unemployment payments are a type of protection bribe paid to the general population to look the other way and abandon their principles (if any) as the leftist pick at the foundation of the American way of life.
Our progressive political class are using “Divide and conquer” or the Latin version: Diviide et impera, meaning divide and rule. The term is attributed to Philip II of Macedonia and used by both Roman ruler Julius Caesar and French emperor Napoleon. It was their method of breaking countries or regions into smaller units, often by pitting regional tribes or clans against one another. As these alliances and commonalities fractured, these conquerers took advantage of weakened states to exert control.
Right now, we are also being divided and isolated into smaller groups; Democrats versus Republicans, accused white supremacist versus all other races, socialist versus free marketers, male/female versus the trans, good versus evil, and a policy of open versus protected borders. We are a fractured society where those that scream the loudest--the squeaky wheels--are being lubricated by a fawning political class and their media enablers.
Where are our Untouchables, those who live for our founding principles, recognize and will root out progressive corruption and lead our nation away from the precipice of self- destructive behavior? How do we overcome the stranglehold of socialism that will squeeze down mercilessly on us until our national life blood of unalienable rights is drained from our soul? Who will stand up to liberate us from Social Media censorship, expose the lies of white supremacy and deny the Antifa/BLM mobs that crush our businesses and cities, making them platforms to practice their racism and hate?
The answer is we must become incorruptible citizens, “Citizen Untouchables” declaring: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Progressive sensibilities be damned!
