President Trump believed he had to strike Iran to completely end its nuclear ambitions. Along with Israel, the two nations launched their respective air campaigns that wiped out most of the country’s political leaders, its ability to wage war, and its missile manufacturing infrastructure. A ceasefire was announced in April—Iran has violated it daily. Since then, gas prices have spiked, creating a domestic issue Democrats can exploit in the 2026 midterms. Last week, a deal was announced, but there seem to be a million ways for it to collapse.

We’re dealing with terrorists here. It’s obvious, but I honestly don’t know who we’re talking to right now. Second, all these foreign ministers and government officials—the ones we haven’t killed—can say whatever they want. What does the ayatollah think? It rehashes the intrigue about his condition. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s dead.

Retired four-star general Jack Keane emphasized that Hezbollah must be ordered to withdraw north of the Litani River in Lebanon. There also needs to be enforcement to ensure Iran complies with the deal.

Trump has claimed we’re close to a deal about 40 times, but nothing has ever come of it. Now, we’re set to have this big signing in Switzerland. What if the deal falls apart? For the first time, I’m questioning Trump’s political skills. Not that he can’t get it done, but he’s dealing with an irrational actor driven by madness, not reason. The current Iranian regime doesn’t care if their nation is reduced to ashes. How do you negotiate with someone like this?

At the same time, they realize this war has affected Trump and the GOP. If they could put the Democrats in power, using the high oil prices and their economic impact, maybe they would amplify the situation, cause it to collapse, and then ensure Trump bears the consequences, counting on impeachment. The funding for Epic Fury would definitely end, along with a new effort to curb Trump under some war powers resolution.

The late Ayatollah Khomeini knew the 1979 hostage crisis was damaging Jimmy Carter. After Carter lost the 1980 election, he released the hostages from the American Embassy.

Yet, unlike Carter, if things do collapse again, word is that Trump will glass the country again.

I'm sorry, I'm bracing for the worst.
