The Democrats are mourning the lives of dead narco-terrorists. I’m aghast. We’re really upset about these guys getting turned into ashtrays, huh? Operation Southern Spear has been successful in wiping out narco boats, so much so that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said there’s been a drop in such operations in the Caribbean. Make no mistake; we’ve only just begun bombing these people. Normal Americans see an anti-drug and national security operation that’s long overdue. The Democrats see a war crime worthy of the Nuremberg trials.
These people have lost the plot. The video of such a strike disturbed Democrats, who took to the podium to deliver their anguish and outrage over the war crimes that might have been committed, except they were not. These strikes are legal, vetted by civilian and military lawyers. It’s increasingly known as ‘boatgate,’ as video of a strike on a narco craft received the ire of the Left: It was struck once, and then later bombed again after survivors were discovered. These men were trying to call for help—they needed to die. Secretary of War Press Secretary Kingsley Wilson said they have irrefutable evidence that everyone taken out in these strikes is a terrorist.
Don’t be memory-holed here: Barack Obama carried out 500 drone strikes, killing civilians in some of them. He also had American citizens on his kill lists. Where was the outrage over that with the ‘Disposition Matrix’ program? This operation was by far more constitutionally murky than Southern Spear.
It’s a stunt. Democrats need something to whine about, so this is it. The best is how they try to downplay the narco-terrorists. Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI), in trying to cast doubt on these men driving the boats, pretty much suggests that those being taken out aren’t narco-terrorists, but they’re only paid by them to operate the boats.
That’s the same thing, chief. If you engage in narco-terrorism, you’re one of them.
These aren’t fishermen. And again, I didn’t hear anything when Obama was arguably committing extrajudicial killings against American citizens. So, stow the fake anger, kids. It’s not working here.
