Remember in the before time of the long, long ago, when Independence Day came and people watched baseball, drank beer, enjoyed fireworks, family time, and grilled burgers and dogs. There was no such thing as a trigger warning. There were no speech codes. Political correctness was not really a thing, and normal Americans celebrated the nation's birthday. Now, if you dare enjoy yourself, you're a racist. You're endorsing white supremacy and genocide. It's liberal America's favorite pastime, hating the country that has given them the privilege of hating it in relative safety. That's the irony of this sick circus act.
For people who champion themselves as the privileged police, hating America is probably one of the explicit exercises in that endeavor. I know they use "privilege" to shut down speech they disagree with, though it's mostly used to silence those who are about to wreck their shoddy narratives with facts. Only people with too much time and money on their hands have the luxury of finding ways to bash America on the Fourth of July. It's white liberals. They're a cancer.
Things that were never really a problem are now existential crises. And they're making stuff up to perpetuate their miserable existence. Like a virus, they need others to be absorbed in this ungodly mob akin to "The Blob." No one at BBQs gets into lectures about how the Declaration of Independence wasn't inclusive enough. That talk only exists in the soy boy pseudo-intellectual circles in urban America and college campuses, which are victimhood manufacturing hubs for these insane people.
I live in a deep blue, deeply progressive bastion of America, and even these people weren't trying to kill the mood of the neighborhood cookout we had with this insanity. Perfection is never going to happen; we're not machines. For those who have watched "The Matrix" franchise, this explains the existence of Keanu Reeves' character. It has flaws. It's the only way for both species to survive. There was a perfect "Matrix." Humanity couldn't accept it.
That's not to say we shouldn't strive to be perfect. We have made massive leaps regarding race relations and overall progress. Yet, progressives cannot accept it. They don't want to acknowledge it. They would lose their standing in society. They would be forced to get real jobs that don't involve incessant whining over everything. Even liberals like Bill Maher have had it with these crybabies. You cannot apply the progress we've made in this century and retroactively apply it to the 18th century. There is nuance, and it's exactly why historical interpretation should not be left with liberal America. They would bastardize it beyond recognition. Hence, their tantrum over the phrase "all men are created equal." One thing at a time. Women did get the right to vote. They were able to get equal protections regarding hiring and in the workplace. Is there more work? Sure, but the Left's vision of perfection is quixotic—and that's by design. Misery is meant to be continuous.
Would you rather we be under British rule? A united front for independence was the first and only objective. Freeing slaves would ruin that. Rights for women—at this time—would ruin that. These were periphery issues. Declaring independence, committing treason, and fighting a war to become a nation were the top priorities—all epic feats in their own right. Again, liberals have zero grasp of history. I'm sure many would rather live under British subjugation if a "woke" agenda in this period were not feasible. Again, what crack cocaine are you people smoking? Hunter Biden's brand?
I'm so glad we have a nation that's free and tolerant, where the most privileged, white liberals can incessantly complain about America and bash its history, the people who don't think like them, and draft endless pages of drivel that peddle a warped and historically illiterate narrative in our education system that borders on fraud. These folks don't have to worry about finding or keeping a job, rising inflation, making sure there's food on the table, or anything that most Americans struggle with daily, especially now that Joe Biden has decided to bless us with rising costs on…everything.
It must be a privilege for people who hate…privilege.
I was adopted into this country. It has given me a better life, a blessed life. I have a loving family, great friends, an awesome team at work, and I can write whatever I want without fear of being black bagged by secret police. Why would I bash the country I love? I'm a proud American. Sadly, that triggers some people. And if that makes me pro-genocide, then so be it. There are consequences to losing wars. If that makes me a white supremacist, I'll be the most patriotic non-white, white supremacist this nation has ever seen. Why?
Because screw you, liberal America, that's why.
I hope you all had a great Independence Day. I hope you all enjoyed the company of friends and loved ones now that COVID is over. I hope you enjoyed the needless burgers that also trigger liberals because red meat is bad for the environment.
Remember, liberals are the ones at the party who will ruin the vibe. Just shout "USA" in their faces and see what happens. These people suck. It's time we start reminding them of that—by any means necessary.
