Yes, there is. You might have to look hard to find it, but it’s there. Actually, the best news is right before our eyes, but most people refuse to look at it.
I confess, as I have before, to being a bit of a cynic—no, a lot of a cynic—not terribly optimistic. That may partly come from the clinical depression I fight every day of my life, but it also comes from history, Bible study, and current events. How can a person not be somewhat of a cynic when viewing the modern, evil, putrid Democratic Party? I look at the NFL now and want to barf; I used to be a devoted fan of the league, but then they left me with their woke, racist, anti-American, promiscuous-promoting pig slop, and I haven’t watched an NFL game in years (or MLB or NBA, either). And I won’t until they return to what they used to be—pro-American entertainment. I will not support a Democratic Party NFL where the Super Bowl halftime show star speaks Spanish and not English. Count me out. Who won the Super Bowl? I couldn’t care less.
I get cynical when I see “American” Olympians criticizing their own country. And nothing will be done about it. Yes, they have a right to free speech, but it would be nice to see people who are supposed to be representing our country say some nice things about it. I bet none of China’s skiers will condemn the CCP. If you’re a hypocritical American who has enjoyed all the wonderful blessings the country has given you but hates the country because of your blindness and ideology, then get out. Move to Europe. Go to China. But I guarantee you they don’t want people like you over there, either. Say in China about the CCP what you say in America about ICE…and enjoy the gulag.
Yeah. Sorry. I’m a cynic.
But I do intend, in this article, to point out a couple of good things that are happening. We are fighting back now, and that’s wonderful.
Folks, godly, pro-American patriots slept for about two generations. We rested on our laurels, thinking America was invincible. We basically saved the world from tyranny three times in the 20th century—World Wars I and II, and against communism—and we were justly proud of these achievements. Yes, we have made mistakes and sometimes stuck our noses into places where we had no business; we aren’t a perfect people, by any means. But by and large, America was great. It stood for peace, freedom, and opportunity—“truth, justice, and the American way.” We thought we could survive on that history alone.
But we fell asleep, and, beginning in the 1960s, we let the Left take over the media, the education system, the culture, the government; we basically allowed them to spread their rot and cancer as far and as wide as they wanted to. We sensed something was wrong, but most of us couldn’t quite put our finger on it. “It can’t happen in America, God is on our side.” But it did happen. We woke up and godless, Marxist Barack Obama was president. Degenerate perverts were marching on our streets, and Congress allowed them to “marry” each other, spitting in God’s face. We were murdering our babies by the millions. Men started claiming to be women, our streets were overrun with barbarians, and our TV and movie screens were vomiting out filth. It was horrible.
But the good news is, we did finally wake up.
Donald Trump had a big role to play in that, of course; his pro-America populism resonated with millions of Americans who realized the cancer the Left was spreading throughout the country. I wish Mr. Trump would point our nation back toward God a little more frequently; we desperately need a spiritual revival. But Mr. Trump’s pro-Americanism got a lot of us off our duffs and starting to work.
Rush Limbaugh helped immensely, too, and Townhall.com and myriad other conservative websites began to appear, as true, traditional, godly patriotic Americans started fighting back. So, Trump wasn’t the first, but he certainly has proven to be a rallying point. Great news for America. Let the battle continue!
The Left, which had had its own way for nearly two generations, has gone berserk. They haven’t given up their Marxism, licentiousness, their lust for power, or hate-America rhetoric. They never will. Evil will always exist. But we’ve thrown up a wall against them that didn’t exist a few decades ago. They are pushing mightily against it, and I can’t predict if the wall will hold or not. The Democratic Party is 100 percent – and I mean, 100 percent – godless and un-American, and there are too many squishy Republicans who haven’t the guts to oppose evil. But we finally woke up and are fighting back. And we are winning some battles. Not all of them, and not enough; witness again the NFL and professional sports. And add Hollywood to that. And Harvard. But they don’t have it totally their own way anymore.
One more piece of good news I want to briefly mention: in spite of the decadent, atheistic garbage the Left has been brainwashing our children with, there is still a God in heaven. And He has tools at His disposal we can’t even dream of. I think most of us would like to see Him a bit more active now, but God works in His own time and in His own mysterious ways. He has always blessed America; if only all our people would see that and appreciate it. Too many don’t, and that might destroy us. But He’s still there and on the side of the righteous.
Yes, God bless America. But even more than that, I hope America will soon again bless God. It isn’t all bad news out there, folks.
