Vice President Kamala Harris is a Second Amendment advocate, didn’t you know? She’s a “gun owner,” who simply wants a few “common sense” measures to keep everyone safe.
That’s the new narrative from Harris herself and the Democratic machine hoping to propagandize their way to the White House.
Like many of her previous flip-flops, this one may be the most egregious.
Despite her new claims of gun ownership, which haven’t been verified with questions about the make, model or caliber of her firearm, Harris' record on Second Amendment violations is astonishing.
In 2007, as a government prosecutor in California, Harris vowed to violate the Fourth Amendment by searching the homes of gun owners.
“Just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn’t mean that we’re not going to walk into that home to check and see if you are being responsible and safe,” Harris said.
In 2020, Harris said stand-your-ground self-defense laws were “racist.”
“These stand-your-ground laws…have often, often and frequently, been used as an excuse, if not a cover, for people motivated by race and racial profiling,” Harris said. “It has been used as an excuse to kill black and brown young men.”
In 2024, and while she claims she’s “not taking anybody’s guns away,” she still supports a mandatory buyback plan for modern sporting rifles, which is a nice cover for what it really is: confiscation.
“We need an assault weapons ban,” Harris says.
And yet, this week Harris tried to wipe that record away with an Oprah appearance – where her cackling laugh returned with a statement about a home intruder during an interview.
“I’m a gun owner. If someone breaks in my house, they’re getting shot, sorry. I probably should not have said that. Hahaha! My staff will deal with that later. Hahaha!” Harris said.
This was a giveaway. Her statement highlighted her rabidly disingenuous and fake schtick. The last thing a gun owner wants is for someone to come into their home and for them to be forced to defend their life with a firearm. It isn't funny. It's terrifying and a life-altering experience — not to mention a legal nightmare. Harris hysterically laughs about it and says things responsible gun owners don't say. Further, if you've done any kind of self-defense education or training, you know an attorney would tell you to never make such a statement. It’s a revolting attitude and one rooted in ignorance of gun ownership responsibility.
Kamala Harris isn’t a genuine gun owner and she certainly has no plans to protect the Second Amendment rights of Americans. In fact, she plans to violate them with the full force of the federal government should she win the White House.
