Democrats are the ultimate retread party – a group of washed-up has-beens dining out on the things they accomplished decades ago. For all their talk about “young voters” and their desire and push to reach them, not to mention their embrace of socialism, anti-Americanism and antisemitism to do that, they are just a bunch of boomers and senior citizens trying to appeal to boomers to get their money and their votes.

When was the last time you thought about someone like James Taylor? Odds are, since you’re using the Internet, you’ve never thought about James Taylor. At least not as a musician, maybe as a political activist, since he shows up every four years at the Democratic National Convention, before retreating into Connecticut, Vermont or somewhere up in that area where left-wingers live off royalty checks from accomplishments 50 years ago.

James Taylor recently allowed his name to be used by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee to raise money for their attempt to seize the House. “Reaching out to ask personally,” the subject line read. It was so “personal,” in fact, that they couldn’t even have the database insert the recipient’s name and start off simply, “Friend, it’s James Taylor.”

Since most people under 70 have no idea who he is, it included a picture that has to be 40 years old of Taylor playing guitar. “Now I know you may be surprised to see me in your inbox, but aside from my career as a singer and songwriter, I’ve always been proud to be an advocate for causes I care deeply about,” says the crusty hippie. He whined that “the world so many of us grew up in is slipping away.”

I didn’t realize Taylor, 78, has grown up in a country overrun by illegal aliens and socialism. I had no idea the 60s were full of Islamic calls to prayer across the country and Somali enclaves without the ability to communicate with anyone in the language of the United States. Of course, this “man of the people” moved to London, as normal people tend to do, in the late 60s and lived like a hippie, signing with The Beatles’ Apple Records, like normal people did.

Then there’s Carole King, another 60s and 70s washout. She had a very successful career as a songwriter, then a recording artist, then nothing for about 40-50 years. “Hi, it’s Carole King♩♩, and I personally wrote this email,” it opens, complete with the musical notes after her name since most people using email have no idea who King is.

Then there’s Martin Sheen. He signs off on emails for Democrats a lot.

In every email, he manages to work in the fact that he played a fake President in The West Wing back in the late 90s and early 2000s. He made some great movies, probably before you were born, but hasn’t done much anyone noticed lately.

If you aren’t a boomer, you probably only know his kids.

“Hi Derek, it's Martin Sheen. I know seeing my name in your inbox might come as a surprise, but I need to talk to you about the country we both love,” Sheen wrote. The man who, when he was “honorary Mayor of Malibu,” famously declared it to be “a nuclear-free zone, a sanctuary for aliens and the homeless, and a protected environment for all life, wild and tame,” is always asking for money; it seems like once a week.

What you don’t see coming from Democrats is anyone under the age of 78 (Taylor is the youngest “celebrity” I can find signing off on fundraising emails for them) coming out and milking their fame for the party of invasion, child genital mutilation, and the destruction of Israel. Not that young “celebrities” aren’t Democrats; they’re likely unthinking Democrats who simply follow their crowd in their profession in an attempt to blend in and get work.

They really are that fascistic.

Still, Democrats do raise a lot of money from rich boomers – people who spend their time resenting those who made more money in their lives than they did, no matter how much money they made. The party of envy is using their rich, better-known faces to drill into the wallets of fans in retirement while insisting they are the future of the country. How many of them will even be around in 10 years? Don’t let them ruin it on their way out the door.
