I get it, she’s not bright and has been marinated in extremist left-wing politics her whole life, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day. And still, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez manages to both sound stupid when she talks AND, in writing, where you’d assume her handlers would edit out, if not down, some of the markers of her idiocy. Nope, they let the freak flag fly, likely because they know her supporters are even dumber than she is.
But you must wonder: does she even hear herself, or read this stuff? Can she read?
In an email last week, the socialist sock puppet asked, “A lot of people fear monger about the idea of Democratic socialism. Do you know what it means? It means we value democracy and society over the love of capital.”
You’d think this would mean the luxury apartment-living, expensive-car-driving “former bartender” would be giving away her salary to “help” those in need. She does not.
AOC was a bartender because, even though she allegedly graduated “cum laude” from Boston University with a dual major BA in international relations and economics, no one would hire her for a serious job. Why would that be?

Well, she checks a few boxes on the left-wing food pyramid of victimhood, so she was a DEI dream in the HR department. But the thing is this: companies still don’t want to hire idiots. Sure, they might lower the bar to entry for certain candidates, but they still have to be able to string together a coherent sentence – they have to be able to tie their shoes. For Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to not be able to secure a job in New York City, the most left-wing place outside of San Francisco, almost requires effort.
That she was “a bartender without health insurance” isn’t a tale of hardship; it’s a testament to her inability to even handle a job interview for an entry-level position, where all you really have to do is demonstrate that you have a degree in anything and a pulse. While it is up to the individual to make something of themselves in the position they get, getting in the door to give it a go is the easy part and she, with all the DEI advantages anyone could muster, didn’t land even a chance.
How badly must she have come off in those interviews?
AOC’s email continued, “As opposed to loving capital more than we love the integrity of our democracy and society, which is what we have now.”
She’s living the dream, like I said. She’s been engaged for 4 years and, at least I assume, her fiancé is raking in the cash without having to report anything on Congressional financial disclosure forms. It helps the “I don’t care about money” argument when you only have to report your income, not someone else’s – especially if there’s a lot of “consulting” gigs paying large sums.
I don’t know that that’s the case, but engagements last that long for very few reasons.
What’s funny is, just after saying she doesn’t care about money – she cares about “democracy and society” – AOC hits her supporters up for some of their money, because it is politics and everything is about fundraising.
For someone who doesn’t care about money, she and her team sure ask for a lot of it. For someone who decries the impact of money in politics, she sure raises a lot of it when she does not need it for her own campaign – her district is gerrymandered to elect a Democrat, especially a Hispanic one.
But she – the queen of hating the impact of money in politics – wants to raise money so she can give it to other Democrats and curry favor with them so she can improve her position in the House. It’s everything she says she hates about money in politics, only she’s doing it on a micro level. Is it really bribery if you’re using other people’s money and doing it for your own power and not a “big corporation?
The answer is yes, obviously. But either AOC or her donors are too stupid to know this, or they don’t consider it influence peddling when you’re the one buying the votes.
It makes you wonder if she has the ability to connect those dots in her head.
