Happy Labor Day. I hope you’re sitting on a beach rather than in traffic (if you are, stop reading and focus on the road). It’s weird having Labor Day on the 2nd. of September; it seems too earlyut whatever—a day off is a day off, right?
But some people never take a day off. More accurately, some people never give others a day off, usually because their livelihood depends on them or they’re just gross. In the case of Democratic Party fundraising, it’s both.
Saturday was the last day of August, and the desperation was on full display in the left-wing fundraising game. Then, on Sunday, the first day of September, they acted like the previous day did not exist. The desperate fundraising pitches went from “It’s out crucial, make or break final weekend of the month deadline and we must end this month strong” to “It’s our crucial, make or break start of the month launch, and we must start the month strong.”
They are such corrupt frauds. All last month, they were bragging about setting fundraising records, having more money than anyone ever has, and how that demonstrated how many people love Kamala Harris. Yet, as midnight approached, they were acting like they were about to be turned back into pumpkins, desperately starving to death for donations.
“Derek, is there ANYTHING we can say to convince you to donate to the Democratic National Committee before our FEC deadline at midnight?” the Democratic Party whined in one email at 3:06 pm.
They could die, but that’s about it.
They started begging, “Please give us a chance to explain why this request is so important: What if we told you that this report will be our first fundraising report since Kamala Harris chose Tim Walz as her running mate, and the first after the Democratic National Convention? What if we told you Trump’s campaign is spending millions of dollars on ads in swing states attacking Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and that this will affect not only the presidential race but races at every level? And what if we told you that we have some very important budget decisions to make when this FEC deadline ends? So your donation can help us expand our map to help Democrats flip the House, defend our Senate majority, and win key down-ballot races.”
After fundraising records, how stupid do you have to be for this to work? Democrat stupid, it seems.
They asked for $3 in that email.
At 6:51 pm, they emailed again, asking for another $3. “$3. That’s all we’re asking for as we push toward tonight’s critical end-of-month deadline,” they wrote. “$3 to help us defeat Donald Trump, JD Vance, and Project 2025. $3 to secure a Democratic House and Senate. $3 because here at the DNC, it’s our job to move resources where they will make the biggest impact, helping ensure Democratic victories nationwide.”
Then, at 10:02 pm, they were back for another $3, writing, “$3. That is the donation we're asking you to make to the Democratic National Committee before our FEC fundraising deadline at midnight. $3 to help us defeat Donald Trump. $3 to help elect a Democratic House and Senate. $3 because the DNC is the organization best positioned to move resources where they need to be, when they are needed most, to help Democrats win.”
They removed the references to Vance and Project 2025, but everything else is pretty much the same. For all the attacks on Vance, they must not be a motivating force for the left the way Trump is. And it’s likely their donor base doesn’t know anything about Project 2025 because everyone has run away from it like it was a ticking box, even the Heritage Foundation. It will go down as the biggest failure and waste of money and opportunity in the history of conservatism. But all the Democrats it was going to motivate have already been motivated.
The Democratic Party alone emailed seven times on the 31st. That’s not counting Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, the Harris/Walz campaign, and all the left-wing organizations you can imagine.
I signed up in 2020 for the Biden and DNC emails; that’s it. From that, my email has been sold to at least 100 various campaigns, organizations, and SuperPACs. Whatever they paid for it, it wasn’t worth it. They’ve never gotten a penny and never will. Unless, of course, they promise (in a legally binding way) to jump in that lake.
