Democrats are like a dog playing tug-of-war: they don’t seem able to quit, especially when it comes to Russia and Vladimir Putin. You’d be that way too, if you had a choice between making an asinine case like that or having to defend Joe Biden and the Democrats’ record of supporting things like the illegal alien invasion and teenage genital mutilation. But it’s more than that, they seem unable to let the Russia hoax lie go. They are the Brokeback political party who just can’t quit Putin.
It was a lie when they started it, and they knew it was a lie all along. Their allies in the media, being the good little dogs they are, dutifully reported it as varying shades of true, even after they, too, figured out it was all a lie. Yet, like a zombie suffering a shot to the shoulder, it refuses to die.
More accurately, Democrats refuse to stop telling it.
Maybe it’s like security blanket for them, the default dumb argument they all wish were true and they repeat it to themselves in an attempt to will it into existence? Probably not. It’s much more likely they simply don’t give a damn. They haven’t had to, so they don’t.
Who’s going to hold them accountable anyway? Fox News? Conservative media? They already are, and the left isn’t going to peel anyone off from that choir anyway, so who cares?
Nope, this is about comfort food. At this point, the MSNBCs and CNNs of the world are only talking to themselves; preaching to the converted. They aren’t any more interested in winning converts to their cause than any normal people are interested in what Joy Reid or Larry O’Donnell have to say. They’re just hoping to maintain.
The 2024 election is going to be one where turning our your voters is key – no one is going to run away with it. If Democrats become uninspired, they might not show up. If they lose their frenzy of their outrage and anger, they might not be inspired to vote “against Republicans,” which matters because even Democrats aren’t all that interested in vote FOR Joe Biden.
Donald Trump is the biggest motivational force in the lives of committed Democrats. It overrides any and everything else they are or have in their lives. It’s a sickness.

The problem for Democrats is like the problem for a serious junkie: once you get really addicted, you have to do more and more of your drug of choice to get the same high. Only Donald Trump isn’t out there every single day as President doing things those Democrats could easily whip their drones into a rage over. They have no choice but to go back to the well; play the greatest hits and hope the record sells.
And there’s no bigger “hit” than the Russia hoax.
The only problem is it is a hoax. And even many dense Democrats know this, but it’s still their best weapon.
That’s why the vapid boobs at Morning Joe still harp on it. So unserious are they, Joe was dinging a bell this week while claiming, “Every time a bell rings, Putin has Donald Trump on a string.” I told you these people were stupid, didn’t I?
Joe also claimed, “Republicans hate Joe Biden more than they fear Vladimir Putin.” Why wouldn’t they? Biden is actively threatening our rights and ripping apart the very fabric of America by opening our border to all illegals who care to flood in. Putin, while an evil jackass threatening his neighbors, isn’t doing anything to us.
And if Trump were truly “on a string” for Putin, why did he attack Ukraine before and after Trump was President, but remained in check during Trump’s presidency? If you “control” a President, wouldn’t you take advantage of that? If you had blackmail material on Trump, as Nancy Pelosi and Jen Psaki (aka Ginger Goebbels) claim, wouldn’t you use it while the man was in office?
Of course you would. But he doesn’t. Nor are there any strings, at least on Trump. On Democrats? I don’t know, but it sure does seem like a serious “The lady doth protest too much, methinks” situation.
Whatever the case, they’re lying because the truth does them no favors. They’re lying because it’s all they have left. They’re lying because it’s who they are as people. It doesn’t mean they can’t win, people believe all kinds of lies, but it does mean they’re worried. This far away from an election, that’s not the place you want to be.
