I often report on the stupidity of the fundraising emails sent out by Democrats and their appendages, wondering how anyone could fall for the ridiculous, hyperventilating claims liberals make in them. Every once in a while, an email comes along that takes the cake…and eats it without sharing a piece of leaving a crumb behind. This weekend I got one such email.

You kind of expect really dumb emails begging for money from left-wing groups like “Stop Republicans” or the “National Democratic Training Committee” that were obviously created to milk as much cash as possible from unknowing suckers. But when a real doozy comes from the party itself, that’s something else altogether.

Under the sender name “Stacey Abrams Announcement,” the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the official arm of the Democratic National Committee charged with electing those people to Congress, and lead by Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY), sent out one of the dumbest emails (so far) this year.

The subject line read, “Stacey’s STUNNING announcement.” What, pray tell, is this announcement? It’s that she’s going to continue doing what she’s been doing, what has made her rich beyond her wildest dreams, throughout the summer. That’s it.

How is this news or any kind of announcement worth making is not known. What would be more shocking would be if she were taking the summer off, because then how would she pay the more than a million dollars in mortgages on her 2 houses

Here’s the “stunning” announcement from the email. “Quickly -- Stacey Abrams has called us to action in a BIG WAY. She announced she’s devoting her entire summer to helping pass Democrats’ critical voting rights measures. But we need to ensure anti-voting rights Republican never take over the House,” it opens. “under no circumstances can we let Mitch McConnell and the Republicans sabotage our voting rights for DECADES. Will you stand with Stacey and rush in $3 before our End of Week Deadline to PROTECT our House Majority and DEFEAT anti-voting rights House Republicans?”

You gotta love the “by our end of the week deadline” part. There is no “end of the week deadline” in real life, they’re just making it up to create a sense of urgency and panic. They think their potential donors are dumb enough to fall for it, and they’re probably right.

As if it weren’t already dumb enough, it continues in an even dumber way. All the punctuation you are about to see is copied directly from the DCCC’s email and was not the result of my 4-year-old daughter banging on my computer when I wasn’t looking.

“Did you hear the news?!?!,” it continued. “FIRST: Mitch McConnell and Republicans BLOCKED Democrats’ HISTORIC voting rights bill. THEN: We learned Stacey Abrams is devoting her ENTIRE summer to stopping them. NOW: We’re calling for an overwhelming wave of support -- 5,OOO gifts  -- before our End of Week Deadline to stand with Stacey and protect our pro-voting rights House Majority.”

The number of donations has no bearing on anything, it’s just an arbitrary number created to enhance the false sense of urgency of their phony deadline, which they capitalized the first letter of each word of for the very same reason.

It then goes for the direct beg approach, coupled with fear. “If McConnell flips just ONE seat, he’ll RECLAIM power in the Senate and continue to BLOCK Democrats’ efforts to protect voting rights. Stacey is fighting with everything she has to STOP him and PROTECT our Democrats. Will you stand with her and rush $3 to defend our House Majority?”

You almost feel bad for poor Stacey, working her fingers to the bone by alternating appearances between MSNBC and CNN. She barely has time to enjoy her multiple homes or count her money. It’s gotta be awful.

I get why independent groups invoke Stacey’s name, they are grifts set up to keep themselves in cash and have no name themselves to put out there to try and inspire stupid people to give. But the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee as every Democrat in Congress, and they have all the legislation they’re trying to push. If they have to reach outside of those options for a failed candidate for governor of Georgia to be their “big” inspiration for suckers to give them money, it kind of says something about what they think of their members and agenda, doesn’t it?
