Hardest Hitting News – AXIOS

  • Yeah, those dames are not the sharpest people, are they?

With the SAVE Act coursing through Congress, and the majority of Americans favoring a photo ID requirement to vote – including a majority of Democrats – the press continues to take the losing side with Democrats on this 80/20 issue.

Citing a group of policy "experts," they of course declare minorities will be most affected. Just ignore the past claims that made this identical promise with the Georgia voting reforms that led to record minority voter turnouts. This time, another voting base is said to be affected by the tighter rules to prove eligibility: Women.

See, the name change with taking a husband means they no longer match their birth certificate, so these poor ladies will be incapable of getting that squared away! We just have to ignore that all of this straightened out with their marriage license.

Also unstated is how these allegedly oppressive new mandates on women somehow strictly benefit Republicans.

Stealth Story Evolution – AXIOS

  • So the thing he set out to do happened, but it happened even though he tried…we think?

Axios spun itself into a knot trying to explain the sharp drop in major crimes last year. Recall that throughout 2025, the press was intent on fighting Trump's effort to combat crime in our cities. Now the annual crime stats are in, and across numerous categories, crime has plunged, as well as several major cities experiencing this drop.

Axios reported that these falling numbers happened "despite" Trump's claims. After being roundly mocked over this attempted recalibration, the site deleted the post touting this approach.

Both Kinds of Standards – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • Trashing America is acceptable, just do not say anything bad about that oppressive totalitarian regime!

One of the disturbing acts at the Olympics has been the press goading various athletes to express outrage over politics in this country, as they are representing the nation on a global stage. One of the latest to gobble that bait was someone from the curling team, because they are the vaunted authority on political matters.

Meanwhile, skier Eileen Gru is an American who, by virtue of her parents' mixed marriage, is competing under the Chinese flag, despite being a resident of San Francisco. Gru has had her share of warm profile pieces done, yet she manages to escape having to answer for the controversial aspects of the Chi-Com government.

Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – NBC NEWS

  • Could you find MORE people who are not involved personally?

NBC came out with a poll that shows Americans are turning away from supporting President Trump's immigration policy. That the poll was conducted just after the shooting death of Alex Pretti, and amid widespread hysterical media coverage, is just the start of the issues with this result.

Looking into the makeup of those who were asked, more than 40 percent of the respondents said they did not participate in the general election, and more than a quarter are not even eligible to vote.

But we are made to care about the opinion of these non-participants.

Criminal Family Album – NEWJERSEY.com

  • Once again, a parent cannot be guilty.

Ever since "Maryland Man" became all the rage, the press has taken the curious yet lame approach that any time a parent is picked up for a crime, or as an illegal alien, the fact that they are a parent should somehow cancel out the criminality.

In this latest example, we not only get the details of an illegal who was buying infant supplies, but we are provided the loving photo of the man with his young 'uns.

We at RFTH are starting to wonder if we should keep a package of Huggies in our truck. That way, if we get pulled over or become involved in a legal scrap, we can produce the diapers as a show that we should not be taken into custody.

Legalized Press-titution – THE NEW YORK TIMES

  • How soon before the paper buys Tiger Beat Magazine strictly for mayoral coverage?

Just yesterday, we covered how The New York Times managed to look over all of the severe issues taking place in the city and decided that, in covering Mayor Zohran Mamdani, it was a keen idea to report on his winter coat shopping.

We stumbled over another puff piece, as the paper comes out with a glowing profile of the relationship Mamdani shares with a taxi driver. Just gushing all they can over there.
