Low-Octane Gaslighting – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • Misinformation? Election interference? How about LYING? Do any of those matter any longer?

The press cycle this Friday is abuzz with the tale of Donald Trump wanting to march Liz Cheney in front of a firing squad. Liz has said it. Kamala Harris has said. As a result, all of the media has repeated this as well. Of course, this means one thing: Trump did not say it.

He was referring to Cheney's desire to enthusiastically send our troops into battle. What Trump had said was that she should experience what it is like to take up arms and have a violent opposition aiming their guns back at her, before she is so excitable about sending other people's families into war zones.

All the proof you need to see he was not discussing a firing squad is that rarely are those victims given a weapon of their own, as he clearly states in his discussion.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • Add this to the list of lying reports on the abortion law.

By this stage, we are safe to just assume any news item regarding the recent abortion laws leading to some sort of calamity for a woman is a complete fabrication. Yes, we have ANOTHER example, as many outlets are describing the case of a Texas woman who died following complications and medical professionals were hesitant to operate and help her due to the restrictive Texas legislation.

The problem is that she had endured a miscarriage, which is not impacted by the law. She needed a D&C procedure to remedy the issue, and any hesitation would be the fault of the practitioners. But – once again – the biggest disqualifier is that this whole tragedy played out before the Dobbs decision.

So once again, the press needs to lie to demonize this ruling and help out the Harris campaign on behalf of her signature agenda item.

First Amendment Strike Force – THE NEW YORK TIMES

  • You really thought you had them pinned to the wall, didn’t you?

Earlier this week, it was shown how The New York Times was teaming with Media Matters to target a large number of conservative personalities with shows on YouTube. Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson displayed the messages, showing how this was intended to demonetize all the targets under the guise of them delivering election misinformation, and YouTube was being presented with the MMFA “findings.”

Both Shapiro and Carlson responded to reporter Nico Grant with harsh rebukes of his claims, and the reporter cowardly refused to run their actual responses:

Mr. Carlson and Mr. Shapiro did not directly respond to a series of questions, but attacked reporting from The New York Times.

The best part, however, is that the lengthy report that concerns over two dozen personalities on the video platform came up with not a single result. While Grant claims to have verified 286 videos containing what he calls “election misinformation,” YouTube was not all that impressed:

A YouTube spokeswoman said none of the 286 videos violated its community guidelines. 'The ability to openly debate political ideas, even those that are controversial, is an important value — especially in the midst of election season,' she said in a statement.

Play the sad trombone music sting.

Hoax & Change – THE ATLANTIC

  • Chuckles just might be the expert on unintentional irony.

Chuck Todd has what he believes is a deeply thought-out column. We are here to declare that he did not think this one through.

Chuckles was taking on the story of the Washington Post forgoing giving an endorsement this election, and he lapsed into one of his familiar arguments, that there is no media bias in the press. That Todd wrote this in The Atlantic, which just last week pushed out the wildly fraudulent story of Trump refusing to pay for a soldier's funeral, makes this all the more worthless and laughable.

Pre-Written Field Reports – POLITICO

  • When the press stipulates that you do not find out for yourself.

The press, which is suffering from audience flight and a severe loss of faith, does not want you taking in other media on your own. Instead, POLITICO comes out to suggest that instead of listening to the J.D. Vance interview with Joe Rogan, you should listen to its synopsis of the conversation – because you will receive an undistilled and completely unbiased rendition of what took place.

Pulitzer Prize Nomination-Political Cartoons – ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION

  • We get the point, but this suffers from a matter of timing.

Mike Luckovich has a new entry regarding the election, and he seems to be favoring the Harris-Walz campaign point regarding abortion laws.

We think. But in showing a lineup of women voters who shrug off their "Handmaid's Tale" red robes after voting, we are left with the unintentional message that given Joe Biden and the Dems are currently in power, they are the party placing these females in the repressive conditions, and voting for Trump will set them free.

Whoops!
