Low-Octane Gaslighting – MSNBC
Apart from all of the documented facts, this is a complete lie.
We swear, does Chris Hayes not even try anymore?! Yesterday, we covered at RedState that word came out that FEMA was out of funds for the balance of hurricane season. This was due in large part to that agency dropping a hefty sum on services for illegal immigrants, so American citizens in dire need of aid are now at risk.
After Donald Trump was heard alluding to this, Chris Hayes decided to leap up and declare that not only is this a "lie," but conservative media is repeating this despite knowing full well that it is allegedly a lie.
The vast majority of professional conservatives in media and politics know this is a lie and that it’s a disgusting lie. They all know. https://t.co/EXj129nqw3
— Chris Hayes (@chrislhayes) October 3, 2024
Hayes is unquestionably the one lying here. The announcement that the FEMA budget has dried up came directly from DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and that the agency doled out well over $1 billion to illegals since 2023 is found in the FEMA report on its Shelter And Services Program.

Legalized Press-titution – ABC NEWS
This is overselling things just slightly…okay, it is SEVERELY overselling things.
We have noted how ABC's Mary Bruce has segued effortlessly from being a complete shill for Joe Biden to being a complete shill for Kamala Harris, following her coronation as the new Democrat figurehead. Bruce continues in her unabashed support for the leading Dem by selling the concept that a deeply entrenched and unquestionable Republican is backing Kamala Harris.
This would be Liz Cheney. If you think that was an exaggeration, we will give you Ms. Bruce's assessment of this.
ABC's Mary Bruce (aka Disney's North Korean News Lady for the Biden-Harris regime):

"[T]his was really an astonishing sight and a powerful reminder of the difficult choice that many Republicans are facing...[S]he said the stakes are simply too high for disillusioned Republicans… pic.twitter.com/zcNJp82ZcK
You just need to laugh at this description of Cheney: "Most prominent" and "fellow Republicans" is sheer comedy, given she was voted out of her office with extreme prejudice for becoming a Democratic shill. It is quite the stretch to say she "crossed party lines" when she was effectively booted out of office after losing her reelection by 30%.
Gilded Reframe – CBS NEWS
CBS News covers the story of a 21-year-old woman who was reunited with her family after a decade when she was separated from her family by ISIS terrorists and sold into bondage in the Gaza Strip. Look at the way the network framed this episode.
A Yazidi woman kidnapped from her home by ISIS terrorists in Iraq when she was just 11 years old has been reunited with her family after years stranded in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, Iraqi and Israeli officials said Thursday. https://t.co/r1jQzHxxO3
— CBS News (@CBSNews) October 3, 2024
Why there was a need to say she was "stranded" when she was kidnapped and forced to become a sex slave is beyond tasteless. The very fact that CBS explained her reunion came as a result of her "escaping" is all the reason that it should have avoided the use of that word.
Both Kinds of Standards – THE NEW YORK TIMES
The New York Times is wringing its hands over the possibility of a Trump presidency. Of main concern is the prospect that Trump might use the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the courts to target his political opposition. The concern itself is ridiculous, given that Trump is facing down repeated attempts by the Biden DOJ to indict and jail him.
This is a pathetic deflection of the lowest order, and the entire piece is rooted on a single word: COULD. There are about two dozen instances where the paper addresses what he "could” do as president as if it has drawn up all of the fever-dream nightmare scenarios and laid them out as a legitimate concern. The true comedy is in how many of these feared actions are things we have seen Biden's DOJ use against Trump.
Behold as the @NYTimes speculates if Trump might use the courts to target enemies, WHILE reporting on Jack Smith leveraging lawfare on Trump, on behalf of Biden, in a form of election interference.

DNC PR Firm – MSNBC
It would appear Ms. Maddow is not all that concerned over censorship, just over who is promoting it.
There is zero surprise that Rachel Maddow would come out with a negative report on the Trump-Vance campaign. There is even less surprise that Maddow would manage to get things completely wrong.
In her latest contortion, she attempts to sell the concept that the GOP ticket is intent on limiting First Amendment freedoms were they to gain reelection. Her focus is on a speech Vance gave before becoming a senator when he criticized the university system for indoctrinating students as it strays from teaching facts and truth. She then extrapolates into the hysterical conclusion that Trump-Vance wants to render the entire university system, because of course that is the result.
She needs to ignore that in far more recent times, we have seen Kamala Haris supporting the limiting of dangerous speech, Tim Walz promoting this idea at the VP Debate, John Kerry saying we need to silence those opposing his climate agenda, and Joe Biden told by a court to refrain from working with social media to muzzle voices of the users.
Democrats, the lot of them.
Who is the REAL J.D.Vance? I don’t know, and you don’t either—but he’s too extreme and radical to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

Reporting on the Mirror – POLITICO
Another journo is out of work due to the D.C. love triangle captivating hearts and minds.
Another chapter has dropped in the Olivia Nuzzi-Ryan Lizza-John Kennedy Jr. scandal. A brief recap: Nuzzi was accused of an improper relationship with Kennedy while covering the campaign, and this led to her suspension from The New Yorker. The married Kenedy denied the claim. It had been suspected that Lizza may have leaked this information, as the engagement with Nuzzi was recently broken off, seemingly a result of what appeared to be a sexting affair.
Now, Nuzzi has returned fire, accusing Lizza of various forms of abuse in the years-long relationship and filing a protective order. She claims Lizza hacked her devices and threatened her career.
As a result, Lizza and Politico – where he co-writes the "Playbook" newsletter – have agreed on his stepping away as this matter is swirling.
“In the last few months it is my understanding that he began hacking my devices for the purpose of stalking and surveilling me and to collect materials” that could be used “as blackmail to intimidate me back into a relationship” https://t.co/7p7N57xQPT
