That is not an air raid siren you have been hearing for the past 24 hours, that has been the mainstream press wailing over the SCOTUS ruling that the president of the United States has a level of immunity with Executive Branch actions. While this was a sound decision that essentially kicked much of the decision-making on the particulars back down to the lower court, by the sound of the journalists, this will lead to the level of authoritarian dictatorship rule they have promised Trump will deliver. Of course, you arrive at this level of hysteria by not actually reading the ruling.
What has the press all agog is in her dissent, Justice Sonia Sotomayor drew up a nightmare scenario that would make for a good Netflix original film. Okay…a Netflix original film.

Of course, the ruling does not say the president can use their powers in any way. This decision applies to the Executive powers, as laid out in the Constitution. But that detail was too much to digest for the hyperbolic media titans. They jumped immediately to, “The president can now murder anyone they choose!”
MSNBC – Their legal analyst declared this allows a president to assassinate his enemies, despite the chyron displaying how this applies to “Official Acts Only.” Superb work, gang.
JAKE TAPPER – "Did the Court just say, 'Yeah – you can assassinate a political rival'?"
CNN – "This decision is going to make it much harder for the American people to protect themselves from a corrupt president."
"THE VIEW" – "(Biden) Could throw every Republican in jail."
AARON RUPAR – "If President Biden declared today's Supreme Court ruling to be an assault on democracy and ordered Chief Justice John Roberts imprisoned indefinitely, would that be an 'official act'?"
POLITICO – "The Court has sanctioned that a president can order Seal Team Six to assassinate his political opponent."

Reporting on the Mirror – CNN
On "Anderson Cooper 360," he invited famed journalist Carl Bernstein on to describe how he has been hearing from various insiders from the Administration, from political donors, and even other reporters that Joe Biden has exhibited his issues for some time. Bernstein says it had been for at least 18 months that these issues have been witnessed.
What Carl seems to miss is that in his zeal to sound like he is breaking new information, what he is actually accomplishing is exposing how complicit the press and the power brokers in D.C. have been to hide this story.
