Gilded Reframe – CNN

  • So, the problem is opposing the feds who were crashing the event incognito?!

Exiled politician and newly christened CNN contributor Adam Kinzinger is a dependable source of ill-thought emotional outbursts. In his latest outrage that does not concern himself, Adam took issue with a viral video showing patriot protestors confronting some counter-protestors. The hilarity is not only the beating back of supremacists but watching as the agitators recoiled and panicked when they had their facial coverings torn off.

Whether they were Nazi protestors (as advertised) or FBI false flag performers (as suspected) it was cause to applaud the crowd for not tolerating the incursion – but Adam Kinzinger took exception…for some impacted reason. The former Congressman saw the video and declared that the original cannot call themselves “patriots” if they were combating FBI-planted combatants.

Let’s look at what Kinzinger appears to be oblivious to in his stance:

  • He tacitly admits they were federal agents.
  • If they were Nazis, then the confrontation was justified.
  • If they were Feds, then the confrontation was justified to avoid being set up.

Democratic Custodial Services – THE NEW YORK TIMES

One of the more aggravating portions of the journalism industry’s defense of Hunter Biden is how his rampant drug use was somehow a disqualifying aspect of his criminal activities and the family’s complicit behavior in bribery from overseas. Somehow extorting money with his family name, tax evasion, gun crimes and other illegalities are excused away because of Hunter’s addition – which is another illegality.

Delivering a magnum opus of this nature is Nick Kristof, who not only resorts to this form of deflection but also does the extraordinary: Nick actually paints all of this as a wondrous tale of redemption that should serve as an inspiration for all.

Reporting on the Mirror – FOX NEWS

  • Tucker was not “replaced,” his time slot has been filled.

After a few weeks of speculation, there has been the formal announcement made that Fox News has reset its primetime schedule following the removal of Tucker Carlson. The 8:00 pm slot will now be taken over by Jesse Watters, but that is not the only change to come over the schedule. Laura Ingraham will be shifted to Jesse’s former spot at 7:00 pm, Sean Hannity remains in place, and in possibly the most significant move, Greg Gutfeld will move down to the 10:00 pm position, taking him out of the “Late Night” environment. (Trace Gallagher will take over Gutfeld’s position at 11:00.)

What is notable is how Fox was able to make these changes in relatively short order, all while CNN’s primetime schedule remains in a state of flux after more than a year and a half since Chris Cuomo was pushed out the doors.

Race to the Bottom – QUAD CITY TIMES

  • Addressing only half the problem.

Last week, we saw Vivek Ramaswamy addressing a political cartoon appearing in the Quad City Times, a reliably liberal-leaning outlet in Iowa. The work, by cartoonist Leo Kelly, had the candidate speaking to a sparse room, and the few attendees were shouting racial invectives.

Beyond the blatant racial lines crossed, there is quite a bit of idiocy taking place here. For one, the assumption of racists in the crowd means there is prejudice against Republicans, in a piece allegedly against prejudice. Then there is the small (very large) matter that Kelly assumed Ramaswamy was a Muslim when in fact he is an avowed Hindu.

Even by that paper’s slanted standards, they had to acknowledge that the cartoon was out of line. There was an opinion page column apologizing for the work and announcing the paper has cut ties with this cartoonist. Not addressed, however, is how the editorial staff approved this in the first place and saw fit to allow it to go into print.

Both Kinds of Standards – CITY-TV / BREAKFAST TELEVISION

  • When freedom of expression does not extend to the freedom to not express a viewpoint.

The National Hockey League recently announced it was stepping back from the practice of holding themed nights at select games during the season. This means the end of teams that held “Pride Night” games, where players would wear rainbow-adorned jerseys during warmups, and other events.

This announcement has rankled the hosting team on the Canadian morning show "Breakfast Television." The trio was visibly upset with this decision by the league to the point where expressing themselves became a struggle. Co-host Sid Seixiero (who describes his job as “edutaining”) sets up the segment by asking, “How does the NHL get away with this?!” As if some law has been broken.

Then another co-host tries vainly to explain the problem:

It’s kind of disgusting. I always say like, as an artist, we have a platform, and you can choose to speak your feelings or not speak your feelings – but choosing to not speak your feelings is also a statement, of something. And it is really sad, it is really, really sad that the NHL is just choosing to back out. It’s like, my goodness, as an organization you can’t…you can’t take a stance and…um…you know, talk about things that are important?

So understand – you are free to not “speak your feelings,” but when you don’t speak them, you are speaking something, and that is wrong because you should be required to speak things, as long as they are not disgraceful. And, like, stuff.

Pulitzer Prize Nomination – WMAZ NEWS 13 – Macon Georgia

Well, what are we outraged about concerning sports mascots this week? We recently covered here how a Florida college was the focus of a deeply stunted editorial for changing its mascot to a banyan tree, and we were told it was racist. Yes, seriously.

The latest concerns a Macon Georgia baseball franchise that is playing its sixth season in the Coastal Plains League. In the latest example of leftists and activist groups being in the position to squelch everything that is fun and enjoyable, they are now targeting an amateur ball club for having a great name.

A doctors' group promoting a vegan diet for better health has taken exception with the fact that the team is called the Macon Bacon. They wear uniforms that resemble the meat product, and the mascot has been a fan-favorite, going by the name Kevin. The stadium sells team-themed foods that are both appropriate and damned tempting by sound:

The Bacon’s current food menu features items like 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon, Bacon Wrapped Bacon, Steak Cut Bacon, Bacon Cheeseburger, Bacon Dog, Bacon Loaded Cheese Fries, Bacon Loaded Mac N Cheese, and Bacon Chips.
