Bible Passage: Luke 6:27-38, 41-42, 46-48

Discussion Questions:

-- In what ways have you seen God bless obedient Christians?

-- How has He used you recently to bless someone else?

Food for Thought:

A woman who recently lost her job experienced an amazing provision of God. It came through the obedient, Christ-following owner of an automobile dealership.

The businessman learned about the woman's circumstances and that her car was in need of repair work. Wanting to be obedient to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, he contacted the lady and offered to look at her car. Little did she know that he had a ministry of helping people by working on their cars when they didn't have the funds for repairs.

The Lord prompted His obedient servant to not only replace broken door handles, but to pull the transmission, fix various leaks, replace old belts with new ones, install new headlights, struts and a variety of other things. The woman's Toyota, which had 164,000 miles, is now going to last her for a long time and see her through a rough time in her life.

When all is said and done, nearly $5,000 in repairs will have been given to this woman by a generous automobile dealership owner who simply wanted to bless someone else because of his relationship with Christ. The woman, who is a generous person herself, has been amazed at the level of this man's generosity to her, and it has challenged her to live an even more generous life than before coming to know this man. In your life, how is God using you to bless others as you follow and obey Him?
