After spending time at the NRA convention in Indianapolis this weekend, I took to social media to post photos of myself holding various rifles. As a result it sparked some conversation from liberals about how gun violence is plaguing our nation and that organizations like the NRA are pure evil.
Well, it's time to debunk the flawed liberal logic here. Liberals constantly advocate for tighter and stricter regulations when it comes to firearms and are avid supporters of gun control. Liberals believe that if somehow gun rights are restricted gun violence will magically come to a complete halt. What liberals refuse to understand and recognize is the fact that many of these tragic events occur as a result of criminal activity not because of lack of regulation. Preventing law abiding citizens who are educated on firearm safety and operation should not be hindered from exercising their right to keep and bear arms. In fact, law abiding citizens who do carry face criminal charges when they cross into different states since there are so many different carrying rules. Why is it that a law-abiding citizen faces scrutiny but yet they aren't the ones committing these atrocities?
If liberals are truly concerned with "senseless" death as a result of gun violence they should also be gravely concerned with the abortion industry where over 55 million innocent lives have been taken since the controversial Roe v. Wade decision.
Liberals say that they are for gun control because they want to put an end to gun violence and senseless death of innocent people, yet they advocate for abortion rights--oh the hypocrisy. When liberals claim that organizations such as the NRA are evil they neglect to see that organizations like Planned Parenthood are truly evil. Planned Parenthood operates under the guise of women's healthcare and yet actually promote the murder of innocent life. Planned Parenthood's presence has grown immensely over the past few years and almost acts as another branch of government. Their influence has now seeped into healthcare and taxpayer dollars even subsidize abortion both directly and indirectly.
Liberals can't just pick and choose which lives are significant and which aren't. For them to blame conservatives for all gun violence just for exercising their second amendment rights is absolutely absurd. It is proven time and time again that in areas where citizens are allowed to carry--the communities are safer. Liberal intolerance is more extreme than ever when it comes to the second amendment. The claim that the constitutional right to keep and bear arms is the impetus for gun violence should be called out for the lie that it is. Liberals need to be challenged for their hypocrisy when it comes to defending and protecting innocent life. Next time liberals seek to criticize conservatives and ignorantly claim that we promote violence by exercising our rights they should look at their record when it comes to abortion and the amount of innocent babies that have been slaughtered due to their so-called right to choose.
