You know, I am what I am, and I don’t purport to be anything else.  There are some things I don’t like about myself and am trying to change, and that has been a life-long battle.  If I had a dime for every mistake I’ve made or every sin I’ve committed, I’d make Elon Musk look like a pauper.  If it weren’t for my hope in the grace of God, I’d be like a transgender person who is so confused they don’t know whether they are male or female, who has no clue what the purpose of life is, and all too often becomes so distressed and distraught they kill others and blow their own brains out.  I feel as sorry for them as I feel opposed to their God-denying lifestyle.  But their denial of reality is their own fault, encouraged by a horribly malevolent support system on the Left.

Integrity is a word and a concept that is less and less understood or practiced in our world today, especially in the halls of the American Congress.  To take a stand for what is right, to be unbending in that stand, to never compromise the good and the beneficial, to always and forever oppose the evil and the harmful—we find fewer and fewer people—ANYWHERE—willing to do that.  In Congress, there are a few, but not many, and they are grossly outnumbered.  Interestingly, some Democrats have more “integrity” than Republicans do, in the sense that they are willing to firmly defend what they believe and not compromise it.  But having “integrity” for evil is a contradiction of terms.  Integrity only applies to virtue and righteousness, and we see that because a Democrat will change his/her beliefs whenever Nancy Pelosi or the party tells them to.  That isn’t even a 10th cousin to “integrity.”

Truth is truth is truth, and I can’t change it, and I can’t help it if most people don’t like it (which they don’t).  Of course, Democrats no longer know what truth is, or from Whom it comes.  They have accepted the Darwinist-Marxist ever-evolving, non-absolute world, where truth and morality are determined by whoever has the most power to enforce them.  That’s the power the CCP has in China, and that the Democratic Party wants in America.  But their false science and philosophy doesn’t change the fact that truth is absolute, attainable, and essential—and people of integrity will defend it with their lives.  That is what I try to do, though I certainly can’t claim perfection in the attempt.

Democrats in Congress (and most state governments) nearly always do the wrong thing because they are evil people, and evil people only do the right thing by chance, or if it is in their vested interest to do so.  Since Democrats habitually do the wrong thing, it is up to the Republican Party to do the right thing, and God-fearing, patriotic Americans must put their faith and hope in the integrity of the GOP to lead the country in a virtuous, godly direction.  But there are too many Republicans (RINOs) who want to be Democrats, or, perhaps more accurately, want to please everybody including Democrats.  When a Republican tries to please a Democrat, he/she invariably does the wrong thing because only evil pleases a Democrat.  And that is one reason why transgenderism and child mutilation, in all of their horrors, exist, and why the American government is $36 trillion in debt.  It is also why I believe Mike Johnson should not be Speaker of the House. He lacks integrity and wants to please everybody-- and people of integrity cannot do that.

John Locke wrote, “I have always thought the actions of men the best interpreters of their thoughts.”  Even Adolf Hitler could make a good speech and present his “peaceful” intentions eloquently.  We must look at what a person does, not at what a person says, if we are going to accurately assess their character.  Joe Biden claims to be a good Catholic, but his every action belies his words.  RINOs claim to be Republicans, but when they act like Democrats and give the Democrats what they want, then such Republicans have no integrity, and their words cannot be sustained.

It is up to the people of America to elect people of virtue, integrity, and courage to government.  We have not been doing this in the past few generations, and the results are increasingly manifest.  The tragedy is—and this MUST be corrected if the country is to survive—too many Americans are Democrats, and no longer know what truth, virtue, and integrity are.  In a democratic republic, decadence and dishonesty among the masses will elect decadence and dishonesty to public office.  As Thomas Jefferson said, “The government you elect is the government you deserve.”  When we elect people of little virtue and integrity, then we get that kind of government.

And those kinds of people will try to please everybody, and thus usually end up pleasing nobody and doing the wrong things.  It is why the American Congress is one of the least respected institutions in the country now.  What that means is the people we elect to LEAD us are among those whom we honor the least.

But we elect them.  The American people have no one to blame but themselves if they have a corrupt government.

Mike Johnson isn’t going to please evil Democrats if he does what based Republicans want him to do.  He isn’t going to please Republicans of integrity if he does what Democrats want him to do.  What Mike Johnson needs is some integrity—i.e., to do the RIGHT thing for the people of America.  That will, of course, make Democrats mad, and a lot of Republicans, too.

But he’ll have done the right thing.  And that’s what a true leader of integrity will do.
