“Curating” or sending information down the Memory Hole means that we are losing historical truth.
One thing I try to do in my writing is to source claims that I make. If I write something as banal as the sun and the moon being two different things, then I don’t think that a formal reference link is needed. But if I make a claim as to somebody’s actions or comments or some historical event, I often try to add a hyperlink so that a curious reader can confirm my statement. I don’t care if people say my articles are boring or repetitive or obvious. I would lose sleep if I were accused of misrepresenting facts or historical events.
As I look up information to support my various arguments and contentions, I have noticed something quite disturbing. Like many—if not most— I default to Google for general searches. Truth be told, I doubt that common AI engines (other than Grok) would be different. What I have found is that the information I seek is often no longer to be found in Google’s curated history. I first noticed this behavior a couple of years ago. My wife’s friend works in an Israeli government ministry and bought into the “world is heating up” rubbish hook, line, and sinker. I told her that there was plenty of research and evidence to suggest that there is nothing particularly unusual about the climate and that the goal was control and not good science. She asked me for references, so I began my search. I clearly recalled an event in Texas in which scorching temperatures were accompanied by very weak winds. The upshot was virtually no electricity production from the Lone Star State’s prodigious fields of wind turbines. There were power outages, and a big question mark was put over the concept of investing in “green” technologies that may just not be there when you need them. So, like a fool, I tried to find references to the event, and Google provided none. Nary a word or article made reference to the total failure of wind power at a critical time of very high temperatures. That would make the Gaia worship cult look bad, so—poof—it was removed. Grok identified the events from 2023 and wrote, “Wind generation was notably low during critical high-demand periods,” leading to officials asking for conservation of electricity seven days in late August of that year.

So between faulty AI models based on lefty tripe from Wikipedia and search engines that look with one eye closed, we are soon reaching a point where people will be trading true historical information in parking lots or after dark, away from any possible listening devices. Super editors at Wikipedia make sure that any inconvenient pieces of information are relegated to footnotes that nobody reads and that AI engines may not consult. This is a very dangerous development, as we cannot make proper progress if our history is defective. Let’s say that Tucker Carlson’s new friends take care of the Hitler page at Wikipedia and completely bend the Führer’s words, intentions and actions. It would only take a generation until AI models and textbooks would see Hitler in a positive light and the brave and fearless Winston Churchill will be branded the villain of the Second World War.
We are quickly becoming a truthless society. Imagine someone fishing in Maine when his friend comes to breathlessly tell him: “A guy is running for the Senate who has an SS tattoo on his chest, wished death on an injured soldier, did some kinky stuff online, and apparently is weird around women.” His friend would say that the Republicans are finally running an out-of-the-closet Nazi, and he would finally miss Susan Collins, who at least seemed normal. Then his buddy would tell him that the fellow in question was running as a Democrat. The fisherman would say that the guy doesn’t really sound all that bad; maybe he is misunderstood, and no doubt somebody put the tattoo on him while he was asleep in a drunken stupor. Now come to think of it, he sounds like a great guy and I am going to go right out and put together a fundraiser for him.
We saw this inverted thinking during the summer of 2020. A rally or riot was only bad if it could be tied to Donald Trump; if those involved burned down buildings and killed people but were pro-BLM and Democrats, then the events were “mostly peaceful” and positive. Everything is subordinated to party, including the truth. If Graham Platner ran as a Republican, the Democrats would scream, “Nazi! The Republicans have always been the party of right-wing lunatics, and this time the Nazi has admitted who he is!” The fact that he is a Democrat has Bernie Sanders and others closing ranks around him. What’s in a tattoo? Who cares what a guy does online with underage girls? He’s an oyster farmer. He’s our kind of white guy when not in a Porta-Potty.
Why is truth so important? It is said in Psalms that the Lord is the God of Truth. In the Talmud, it is said that “Truth” is God’s stamp or motto. Without truth, we have nowhere to go. If a doctor hides truth from a patient, the latter may grow sicker and die. If a country claims that uncontrolled immigration is a net good, then it might find that it will no longer exist as it once did in short order. Ignoring, hiding, or running from the truth generally cannot bring a positive outcome. Google hiding true historical information because it makes some group look bad or does not fit with the Official Ideology can only lead to destruction. People will grow up with warped concepts and will live their lives accordingly. How much of the anti-Jewish bile in the world is based on lies like “genocide,” “starvation,” and “colonialism”? The Gazan population grew during the war; there was more than enough food for Gaza, though Hamas stole much of it, and there was not a single Jew living in Gaza for nearly 20 years. No matter, the lies were branded onto people’s brains, and the attempt to after-the-fact inject truth into someone’s brain generally fails.
While Elon Musk catching 33-story rockets at the launch pad might be one of the most technically difficult things he has accomplished, his purchase of X and the allowance of Unofficial Information to be put before others could be the biggest thing he has done for mankind. The previous regime at X joined Facebook and others in limiting one’s ability to read about Hunter Biden’s laptop. The Musk version of X has no squeamishness about such things. X and Grok may be the last bastions of truth without fingers weighing in on what is acceptable thought and not. We would take it for granted that one could tell the truth, but we have seen in the U.S. and Europe that when the truth butts up against vested interest and official ideology, the truth will be driven away, hidden, or destroyed by officialdom and its lackeys. The Brits don’t want to admit that the wanton murder of Henry Nowak was related to their anti-British immigration policies and policing. Wrong-Think! And with such high-handed behavior, they can never fix the problem of anti-white racism because it would demand a reckoning with the truth, something that they cannot face. The police behavior was not an aberration but directly reflected the training they received that white people are racists and non-whites are always to be believed on the subject. They cuffed a bleeding man. They are scoundrels, and England is lost. Google would like the U.S. to follow the same path to destruction.
