The FBI reacts to terror attacks like the guy who jumps into the market after the stock prices have already gone up.
When I was growing up and listening to the car's AM radio, it was not infrequent to hear the song, “Looking for Love in the All the Wrong Places”. The song came back to me as I thought of the FBI looking for terrorists in all the wrong places. Shortly before an American-born Muslim killed 15 people and wounded dozens of others in New Orleans, the feds announced that they had arrested a white male who had 150 explosives on his farm. Their original approach to the fellow was due to an unregistered gun, and while there, they discovered the large cache of bombs. The assumed “white supremacist” had not used any of his explosives before his arrest. The former army-employed Big Easy terrorist actually did kill people, though the FBI initially said that the vehicular rampage was not a terror attack.
The Obama/Biden Department of Justice (DoJ) and FBI have been consumed with white supremacists and terror that is supposed to come from this part of the population. Anyone with a few spare neurons to use can see that disruptions in life and many of the attacks of the past few years have been performed primarily by Muslims, either local or foreign. Islamic terror should be the top concern of our federal authorities, but it is not. One can glance over at England where 250,000 young white girls were brutalized by mostly-Muslim rape gangs. The authorities were apparently either bought off and/or so terrified of being considered racists that they let the rape grooming gangs go on in various British cities for years. They knew what was going on and ignored the girls and their parents. And in the States, where it is illegal to profile, officialdom feels more comfortable looking for those white bad guys than see Muslims defacing property and threatening “an intifada revolution” right under the nose of the police.
And this is a problem. You can’t find a solution if you are not looking for the real problem. A fellow who has advanced cancer but is treated at the hospital for a twisted knee is not going to make it. And so too with Western countries. Pimping out poor white girls goes unpunished; discussing the same online can lead to jail time. Several of the bigger attacks in England performed by Muslim radicals involved homegrown terrorists. Either they grew up hating their hosts or were “radicalized”--the catch-all phrase to describe someone who decides that killing others is part of the religious creed. So let’s say that President Trump and the supposed leaders of Europe actually kick out non-citizens who support jihad or violate their visas. That would be quite an accomplishment, and certainly it would be interesting to see Cairo and Islamabad filled with iPhones and Tommy Hilfiger outfits. But what about the locals?

The fellow who mowed down New Year’s revelers in New Orleans was born in Texas, served in the Army and worked at some high-tech firm. If your forces are busy casing West Bupkis for two rednecks in a pickup truck who may be dangerous, then you might not be listening in on the actual terrorists’ calls and online activity. How many times after a major attack have we been treated with, “He was on the FBI’s radar”? Their radar apparently breaks down periodically, because they always seem to know about the bad guys but lose interest until the guy goes on a shooting spree somewhere. The problem that officials have is that stating that certain strains of Islam condone and encourage harming infidels would be to admit that not all religions or peoples are identical. We are not supposed to do that. Everyone is good. Everyone is the same. Until they’re not.
Since Israel’s very existence is challenged by various actors, the local authorities do not have the luxury of letting ideology get in the way of catching potential terrorists. At the main airport, they profile travelers—something that is verboten in the U.S. And thus, Israel will not strip-search an 89-year old woman on an IV, whereas in the U.S. they might. Once, at a major U.S. airport, a fellow came over to our son and told him that the computer said that he needed additional screening. “But, since you are under 18, we’ll screen your father instead.” At a European airport, they were doing additional screening of non-Americans going to the U.S. When it came time for my beloved wife to be interviewed, she left her bags with me. Rather than demand to see the contents of said bags, the woman who checked her gushed, “Oh, you have no hand luggage. That’s great. This will only take a minute.” Get serious or go out of business.
Western leaders need to state that Islamic terror is a serious threat to the countries they lead. They need to tell the local Muslims that decades of Islamic terror (remember that Black September was a good 30 years before 9/11) requires them to eject or incarcerate Muslims who present a security risk. Additionally, local Islamic organizations can either help weed out potential terrorists or expect heightened scrutiny from both the official authorities and the more murky clandestine units. The New Orleans terrorist with his ISIS flag and the pro-Hamas lunatics who ruined Christmas Markets and New Year’s Eve celebrations in major Western cities should be enough of a wake-up call for leaders to start addressing the Islamic threat at home.
Large-scale deportations and increased internal surveillance are the order of the day. It is not racism to protect your citizens. Islamic terror has taken many lives, and authorities are fully justified in putting their attention more on Muslims than say Jews, Hindus, and Christians due to Muslims being involved in far more mass-casualty events than the latter. If the officials do not act and get over their fear of looking racist, then a caliphate in Europe is a given, the only thing not known is the specific date of its realization. And the U.S. can expect more attacks while the feds look for their terrorists in the cornfields and behind the barn.
