Newt Keeps it Controversial

Newt Gingrich is speaking in Norfolk Virginia this morning on "Rediscovering God in America" to the Virginia Renewal Project.  About 500 pastors are in attendance.

A source in attendance emails me this from Newt's speech: 

"In America we are surrounded by pagans ... It is a secular land of pagans" ...

This, of course, is not a necessarily false statement.  Still, it is clear that Newt hasn't toned down the rhetoric since walking back from the Sotomayor "racist" line ...
